Sensei O'Sullivan is a minor antagonist in Despicable Me 4, the sixth installment in the Despicable Me franchise.
He is the abusive teacher of the karate class that Edith and Agnes Gru have attended while going undercover.
He is voiced by Brad Ableson.
Personality[]
He is shown to be an obnoxious, loudmouthed and disrespectful man who has no qualms about insulting and hurting the kids in his care. O'Sullivan even shows to bully other kids to gain a sense of superiority and to feed his own ego, even demanding them to show respect to him.
He also hates whenever people try to stand up against him, as shown as he would later threaten Edith after the latter told him that he would get trouble from her and that what he was doing to Agnes was not fair.
Biography[]
On Edith and Agnes's first day at karate, Sensei appears doing his karate position and tell Agnes to introduce her undercover name, but refuses when she hates being referred to as "Brittney".
Sensei O'Sullivan would berate Agnes, saying that "there is no can't in karate" before giving her 10 push-ups after class. As she still refuses, he demands Agnes to sit in the time-out chair next to the turtle tarantula before going up to Edith to face her for talking back to him, only to ultimately step on his foot, hitting the gong stand before getting his toe crushed by the gong. O'Sullivan would then blame Edith for breaking his toe.
He is never seen again after the film. It’s unknown what’s happened to the Sensei, but it is possible that he retired from his job after he has broken his toe.

- He was the only karate teacher found in Despicable Me 4, it is unknown if he owns the karate class himself or is assigned himself by hiring new karate teachers.
- Sensei is very similar to Miss Hattie: Both own children establishments, and both are very strict towards Gru's daughters.
- Unlike Miss Hattie, Sensei never interacted with Margo due to her now being a teenager with Edith and Margo as kids.
- There is a deleted scene in which Lucy, Edith and Agnes crash into him while running from Melora in the parking lot, sending him flying into the air and falling headfirst onto the ground.
- He is currently the most hated character in the Despicable Me franchise along with Miss Hattie due to his very harsh treatment towards Agnes, who is only 6 years old.
