The Sentient Statue is a supporting antagonist in the 2024 Roblox RPG game Block Tales, serving as the secondary antagonist of the game's 1st chapter, Storming the Castle.
Like it's name suggests, it is a sentient Blackrock Castle statue who's main goal is to prevent intruders from entering the Cruel Kings room. After the player climbs up the spiral of stairs and almost reaches the main public area of the castle, the Sentient State stops the player in it's tracks and initiates a battle. After the battle, it blows up, freeing the path and grants access to enter the main public area.
Appearance[]
The Sentient Statue is a statue identical to the rest of the Blackrock Castles statues, except with sentience. It is entirely grey with a pedestal displaying a knight weilding a sword pointing downwards. It also has a dark grey visor and a fin on it's head.
Biography[]
After the player makes their way to the castle, goes through multiple puzzles and multiple guards, they reach the spiral of stairs and climb to the top of them. At the top, there is a straight corridor the player has to cross in order to get to the main public area, but are stopped by the Sentient Statue. The statue states that it will kill the player to honor the king and initiates a battle. After the battle, the Sentient Statue states how the people of Blackrock must live on and blows up and dies in honor of the king, granting access to the main public area of the Blackrock Castle.
The Sentient Statue can also be refought in floor 18 of the pit along with a Loyal Knight and a Crossbow Crony and four of the Sentient Statues can be refought in floor 19 of the pit, however this doesn't affect the storyline whatsoever.
Trivia[]
- Before Demo 2 was released, the Sentient Statue was considered to be the hardest boss in the game, due to it's high damage and hard to dodge attacks.
- In the corridor where the battle with the Sentient Statue takes place, there is a counter counting how many players it killed during its battle.
