Villain Overview

Welcome to my world, brother. A world ruled by none other than our god... Enzukai!
~ Senzai introducing his God to Isamu.

Senzai Uchiumi, later known as the Worshipper, is one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside Futaba Masashige) of the 2021 Roblox horror game The Mimic, serving as the secondary antagonist of its second chapter Jealousy's Book.

He is the eldest son of Akihito Uchiumi and Tamae Uchiumi and is the older brother of Isamu Uchiumi who seeks to avenge his brother's death only to find out he has been secretly working for an organization called the Kiiroibara Cult.

Appearance[]

As a human[]

Senzai appears as a seemingly elder Japanese man with a black t-shirt and wavy black hair and eyes.

As the Worshipper[]

The appearance of the Worshipper looks very similar to Senzai when he was a human based on his face, except the face of the Worshipper has black cracks, a horrifying wide smile, and black eyes with small, yellow pupils and tiny black irises. He has black wavy hair that appears to be wet and reaches their shoulders. He wears a sleeveless kimono and have some kind of wrapping around their arms. He has long, black claws and are barefooted, showing that they also have black nails. He has a build of broad shoulders with a small stomach, similar to Enzukai.

Biography[]

Early life[]

The letter incident[]

When Senzai was around 18 years old, he got an acceptance letter from Masahino art university. Isamu, wanted to support Senzai and suggested they show the letter to their father, Akihito. Upon seeing the letter, Akihito rips it apart and proceeds to beat Senzai with a wine bottle, with Isamu watching in fear. Senzai is shown crying in his room, likely angry at Isamu for not protecting him.

Joining the Kiiroibara Cult[]

Sometime prior to the events of Jealousy's Book, Senzai is 24 years old and goes on a boat to Aogashima island, likely to join the Kiiroibara cult. Here he is attacked by an Umibozu. At some point he ends up on a giant cliff about to be attacked by Kyogi, however, he explains his story to Kyogi, causing the old man to feel sympathy for him and let him live. He goes to Enzukai's seal, seeing multiple other Kiiroibara cult members, he bows down to Enzukai as it points a finger at Senzai, choosing him as a member for the cult. The release video cuts to a scene showing Kyogi and Shosai throwing a decoy of Senzai's body in the ocean, as Senzai himself turns into his appearance as the Worshipper.[1]

Jealousy's Book[]

Jealousy: Chapter I[]

Senzai appears as a corpse at the very beginning of the chapter, when Isamu comes to visit him at the mortuary. Isamu exclaims it hurts seeing his brother like that and wishes he had more time to tell him his regrets, before swearing to avenge his brother by going to the island of Aorashima and finding out the truth.

After he gets knocked out by a giant Umibozū, Senzai (this time as the Worshipper) drags him to the Sisters' Minka while he's still unconscious.

He later reappears when Isamu enters in Yoki Town, jumpscaring him before vanishing again.

Jealousy: Chapter II[]

The Worshipper appears once again at the beginning of the chapter whispering Isamu's name, who in response runs at him only for him to vanish again.

He once more shows himself after Isamu successfully defeats Nagisa, appearing behind him and knocking him out with a punch. After he wakes up in a cave, Senzai approaches him and mockingly questions him if whether he thought himself to be the hero of the story by "playing detective trying to "Avenge" [him]". He then tells his brother to quit pretending to care for him, calling it pathetic. He says the Senzai he once knew is now gone, and that the deep calls to him and understands him, before stating he's there to "fulfill his destiny". Finally, he welcomes Isamu to his world before summoning Enzukai (who he claims to be his God) and watches as they grab him and rip his heart out.

Jealousy: Chapter III[]

The Worshipper only appears once in Jealousy: Chapter III, jumpscaring Isamu when he reaches his old home. He is mentioned multiple times when Enzukai confronts Isamu.

At Isamu's old house, he enters the memories of Senzai, with several chores to be completed in order for him to maintain his sanity while taking the place of Senzai. If needed, Senzai can pray to Enzukai in order to boost sanity. When Father arrives, Senzai will need to sleep as his father checks to make sure he is sleeping.

At the end of Night 3, Akihito will scold Senzai, and drag him away as Isamu laughs at him from the staircase. After the ending of the 3rd night, Isamu wakes up and realizes that Senzai's memories have been altered and continues his search for Shinigami.

Trivia[]

  • The kanjis "崇拝" in his sneak peek mean “Worship."
  • Before the release of Jealousy: Chapter II, people had already assumed the Worshipper and Senzai were the same person basing on their appearances, which led the developers to debunk the theory and redesign Senzai so that the surprise wouldn't be spoiled.
  • The kanji for the name Senzai (潜在) means "latent". The kanji for the last name "Uchiumi" (内海) means "inside the sea".
  • Senzai is confirmed to be born on May 23rd, 1997[2], this means he was 24 at the time Jealousy's Book take place (March-April of 2022) but would be 25 when the year ends.[3]
  • One of the drawings in Senzai's room is of a person name "Kibo Dokan", it is confirmed that Kibo is a good friend of Senzai's.[4]
  • Senzai has a drawing in his room showing Isamu with a patch of blood where his heart should be, likely a reference to Isamu's death. This drawing was made in 2022 meaning Senzai may have been planning to kill Isamu before he even reached Aogashima.
  • A lore writer confirmed that the body Kyogi and Shosai threw in the sea was a decoy of Senzai.[1]
