Biography[]

Background[]

Serena was born in 1928. Serena has a son, Howard, whom she had in 1960. Serena had another child, who is a parent of Veronica Johnson. At some point, Serena and Howard joined The Crimson Order. It is possible that the Johnsons had been part of The Crimson Order for a long time, or joined it for political gain. . Serena's ancestor, Katherine Johnson, settled in Grimsborough in the 1600s as a pilgrim.

Criminal Case[]

Serena is first encountered during the murder of Jerry Bigwall in the case Blood and Glory. Serena is confronted after threatening Jerry if he didn't keep silent about information he possessed which threatened Howard's political credibility. Serena was approached again when it was discovered she had been transferring Jerry $20,000 a month. Serena revealed the leisure club owned by Jerry was male-exclusive. It had been a lifelong goal to join the club so that she could commit insider trading and gain information about Howard's political rival, Martha Price. Jerry denied her entry, despite her status, but agreed to share secrets with her for the agreed sum.

In Good Girls Don't Die, Serena delivered an endorsement speech by the body of Howard's political rival's daughter, Abigail Price. The team discovered a barrage of threats written by Martha Price and quizzed Serena on it. She revealed she knew Abigail was pregnant, despite being president of an abstinence fellowship. When questioned again, Serena revealed that Abigail had also had an abortion, which contradicted Martha's political views. Grace Delaney became aggressive with Serena for sharing the secrets of a recently deceased young girl. Serena was proven innocent after Sabrina Kingston was found to be the killer.

In It All Ends Here, Serena was discovered to have been a spy camera set up. Serena claimed this was to monitor Howard's re-election ceremony for security purposes. After Adam Bentley's death, Serena wanted to monitor the Red Party's office out of fear Howard could meet the same end. After learning Samuel King had killed Adam, and then himself, Serena grieved her friend's actions and demise, and requested to be left alone by the team.

In There Will Be Blood, Serena was discovered to have called the hit on Adam Bentley. Serena discovered that Adam Bentley had learned of The Crimson Order's, and discovered they owned a gold mine in Grimsborough. Despite Adam asking for hush money, Serena believed Adam knew too much, and was a risk to their power, and thus had him executed.

Serena was found guilty of murder, conspiracy and involvement in The Crimson Order, where she was sentenced to life in prison.
