Sergei Razumovsky, also known as The Plague Doctor, is the main antagonist of the superhero films Major Grom: Plague Doctor and Major Grom: The Game. A mysterious vigilante who kills the rich and corrupt with extreme brutality.
He was played by Sergey Goroshko, who also played Esteban Colignard in the film Eterna: Part One.
Biography[]
Before the events of the movie[]
Sergey Razumovsky grew up in an orphanage with Oleg Volkov. At the age of 8, he burned alive three boys who wanted to kill a dog. He spent time alone in every possible way and made up an imaginary friend for himself, which caused him to have a split personality. After he grew up, graduated from college and became a millionaire, he renovated the orphanage building. He regularly gave orphans gifts and financially supported the orphanage.
Major Grom: The Plague Doctor[]
Rich programmer Sergey Razumovsky really didn't like the fact that there were a lot of corrupt officials and rich people in the city, whose money and status allowed them to get away with it. And at the same time, Kirill Grechkin, the son of an influential man, being intoxicated, knocks down to death one girl who grew up in the same orphanage as Razumovsky. Buckwheat easily gets away with it. This was the last straw for Razumovsky, and then he orders a Plague Doctor costume for his friend Oleg from the Holt International arms company, and the latter brutally kills Grechkin. After that, he starts killing the rich and the majors for the sake of justice (as well as for the sake of sadism). The mysterious avenger, the Plague Doctor, has gained huge popularity: he was constantly talked about in the news, a whole army of imitators appeared, etc.
Police Major Igor Grom, his partner Dmitry Dubin and journalist Yulia Pchelkina followed in the footsteps of the mysterious avenger. Later, Grom meets Sergei Razumovsky, comes to him and says that his friend Oleg died a few years ago in Syria, which means that only Razumovsky can be a Plague doctor. Upon learning this, Razumovsky knocks out Thunder. It turns out that Razumovsky suffers from a split personality and it is his "dark side" that is the Plague Doctor. Razumovsky's "dark side" completely possessed him in the end and framed Igor Grom for all the crimes, who is arrested. Later, Grom, with the help of Dima and Julia, escapes from custody and goes to Razumovsky to defeat him. In the first battle, Thunder easily wins, but then the villain blows up the police station, which shocked Thunder. The villain picks up his weapons again and attacks Thunder. In this fight, Thunder needed the help of Julia and Dima. Razumovsky is arrested, and his popularity is rapidly beginning to decline.
Grom: A Difficult childhood[]
Razumovsky was being treated in a psychiatric hospital. Dr. Benjamin Rubinstein worked with him. The latter was trying to summon his alter ego, the Bird. He succeeds: Razumovsky's eye color changes and he begins to threaten the doctor in every possible way.
Major Grom: The Game[]
Sergei Razumovsky appears in a psychiatric hospital on Plague Island, where he tries to get rid of the dark personality of the "Bird". An unknown number calls Grom and offers him to resign in exchange for the safety of the city or play a "Game" where Igor must solve riddles to save people. The ghost commits a terrorist attack on Dvortsovaya Street and blows up the fountain of Samson, tearing the lion's mouth. When the Ghost killed Fyodor Prokopenko, Igor, believing that the Ghost was Oleg Volkov, enters the room and furiously beats Razumovsky, believing that he knows about Volkov's plans, but Igor is put down by the paramedics. Later, Benjamin Rubinstein informs Igor that the Plague Doctor is Sergey's second identity, the Bird. Oleg Volkov seizes control of drones thanks to the Black Margot virus, and blocks the exits from metro stations in order, apparently, to blow up people, giving an ultimatum that Igor Grom had to be killed to free the hostages. Since the virus was developed by Sergei Razumovsky, Igor, Yulia and Dima Dubin help Razumovsky escape from the hospital. While Yulia and Dubin were distracting the police, Igor and Sergey were sailing on a boat. Sergei asks Igor what he will do with Oleg, to which Igor tells him that he will definitely not live to see the trial, disappointing Sergei, in response to Igor's disappointment, he remembers that he intended to kill a thousand people and that this is what his second personality wanted, this does not justify him, to which Sergei says that he does not hope for forgiveness and is ready to sacrifice himself for the sake of people.
Sergey manages to fix the code while Oleg Volkov fights with Igor. But later, the Bird captures Sergei's mind and informs him that all the terrorist attacks were planned by him, and he programmed the drones so that they killed everyone who was associated with Igor Grom. Then the Plague Doctor shoots Oleg intending to kill him, but Oleg regains consciousness and tries to kill Razumovsky for his betrayal. Next, August Van Der Holt intervenes, intending to kill Oleg (possibly in revenge for Otto Schreiber), and engages in a fight with him, in which Holt's energy field knocks out both. Igor takes a selfie with Sergey, and now the system thinks he's connected to Thunder and is trying to kill him with drones. Sergei disables all drones, and some of them are destroyed forever when they fall. Sergei is badly injured and finally gets rid of the Bird's identity and asks Igor if they won. After receiving a positive response, Sergei rejoices that the plans of his dark personality did not work out, before apparently temporary, dying of his injuries. Later, the city mourns for the dead and there was a photo of Sergei on the memorial. After the presumably final death of Sergei Razumovsky, the atrocities of the "Bird" are probably temporarily over.
Character and personality[]

| ~ The Bird seizes control of Sergei. |
The Plague Doctor is the exact opposite of Sergei Razumovsky (his original personality). If Razumovsky is a very kind and friendly person who wants the best for other people, then the Plague Doctor is a cruel, rude and calculating villain. I am sure that the law is powerless in front of the rich, influential and people who violate it and aims to deal cruelly with them. In addition to lawbreakers, he also kills their innocent relatives (including children). Despite his claims of wanting to purge the world of evil, his actions show that many of his murders were committed solely for the sake of sadism. He also stated that he did not care about the lives of innocent people. Razumovsky and the Plague Doctor despise crime, but Razumovsky was shocked by the Bird's methods. It has been confirmed that the Plague Doctor is a separate person who has the pseudonym "Bird" who changes the body structure (namely, changes the color of the iris to orange) when he takes control of Sergei Razumovsky's body.

Trivia[]
- Sergei Razumovsky is being placed in a non—existent hospital in the "Plague Fort", one of the fortresses of the Nevsky Bay, where they used to study particularly dangerous infections far from the city.
- Razumovsky's white crow in the comics was named Margot, which is now the name of his personal voice assistant.
- Unlike in the comics, where Razumovsky is still alive, in the movies he is considered dead. But despite the apparent death of Sergei Razumovsky, his actor Sergei Goroshko and director Oleg Trofim hint that Razumovsky will return, since Sergei Goroshko's contract has not ended, but at the moment screenwriter Artem Gabrielyanov and director Oleg Trofim have confirmed his death, in case it is not useful in future films, which is unlikely. It is not known how he will return, it can be assumed that Razumovsky either survived and faked his death in order not to go to prison and, perhaps, Igor Grom helped him, or he will be resurrected by the raven god Kutkh to control his body (since in the comic after the Game Kutkh captured Sergei's body) or the personality "Bird" and the original will be transferred to Igor Grom's head. None of the options has been confirmed, perhaps either the third part, or The Time of the Raven (which were officially announced), or one of the future films will clarify the possible return of Sergei Razumovsky.
- After the film Major Grom: The Game where Razumovsky died failed at the box office (it collected approximately 400 million rubles), Bubble announced that if the film collected a billion by the end of the summer, then there would be a separate film about Sergei Razumovsky, which greatly infuriated some fans. They accused Bubble Studio of manipulation, as they turned the hero beloved by many fans into a "bargaining chip". Later, director Oleg Trofim and screenwriter Artyom Gabrelyanov announced that this joke had gone wrong not only for the fans, but also for themselves and they respected the fandom. Earlier, Artyom Gabrelyanov stated during the podcast that he killed Razumovsky in the Game because he was tired of him and thought that the audience would get tired of him, which also led to a scandal. Quote from one of the comments: "just because you're tired of him doesn't mean we're tired of him." Gabrelyanov caused a serious wave of hate and criticism. The dispute subsided only after Gabrelyanov and Trofim announced that Gabrelyanov did not hate Razumovsky's fans, and also admitted that they would like to create a separate film about Sergei Razumovsky's childhood.
