Set is the main antagonist of the 2016 fantasy film Gods of Egypt. He's the god of desert, storms, disorder and violence. He takes over the throne of the Egyptian Empire after defeating Horus in a battle. He's portrayed by Gerard Butler, who will be portraying his first villain role.

Set is the uncle of Horus and the brother of Osiris. Set kills Osris and engages Horus in a battle, he ends up winning the battle and ripping out Horus's eyes, becoming the new king. At the end of the film, Set is killed after he falls from a great distance and then is stabbed in the chest by his own nephew Horus.
