Shūji Fujigawa is the main antagonist in Danganronpa Gaiden: Killer Killer.

Shūji Fujigawa was a former classmate and friend of Takumi Hijirihara,he appeared a few years later to explain to Misaki Asano on what happened for Takumi to become the Killer Killer, explaining that one day,his entire school was massacred by Mukuro Ikusaba, where they were both saved thanks to Shūji managing to hide themselves in a locker, the bad thing was that Takumi saw how Mukuro murdered every single student who were outside the locker,and believe it or not, this made Takumi love murder, becoming the Killer Killer, an assassin who kills other assassins by ranking them for their love of murder. And yet only Shūji and Takumi were the only survivors of the school massacre.
Takumi and Misaki are called to the Future Foundation since "Mukuro Ikusaba" was attacking the site, when they arrived Takumi faced Mukuro killing her, but at that moment more of Mukuro Ikusaba appeared, who Takumi also defeated quickly before Shuji stabs Misaki in the back, revealing that he was the first Killer Killer and had hired those Mukuro Ikusaba followers to somehow get Takumi to stop all of that.
In the flashback we see how Shuji also suffered a change from those murders, getting too much disgust for the murders and that's why he became the Killer Killer, until he met Takumi, realizing that he was also a killer, so he would try to make him stop all that being the Killer Killer. In that moment of shock, he is cornered by other members of the Future Foundation but manages to escape, but not before leaving a strange necklace on Misaki.
Later in a stream of his, the truth would be revealed, his new plan was to end the human species, putting multiple bombs around the entire country, and although they weren't enough bombs to end everyone, they were going to kill millions of people and the only way people had to save themselves was to kill Misaki because if she died then her necklace would deactivate the bombs, at that moment he would end his live video, telling Takumi: What do you plan to do now?
Takumi and Misaki manage to reach Shuji, who quickly tries to kill Misaki, showing that he is too jealous of her because of how close she is to Takumi. When he regained his composure and threw himself out a window to Misaki thanks to an explosion (who managed to survive), he tried to convince Takumi to join him to kill assassins together, but he described their murders, ranking him with a 100. This upset Shuji since according to him, he didn't do murder, he didn't do something so disgusting, after this, they both got involved in a fight to the death, where with a smile on his face. Shuji was about to suffocate Takumi, but Takumi went through Shuji and himself with a sharp metal bar, fatally damaging Shuji. Before dying, he tells him that he hates murder so much that he cannot let it kill him, and in this way detonates a mechanism that makes it explode ending his rampage once and for all.
