Shade is a nefarious organization serving as the main antagonists of the Kamen Rider G TV special that aired in 2009.

Kamen Rider G[]
Shade was originally created as an anti-terrorist unit, but was disbanded when its acts of human experimentation were publicly revealed, with its leader Seizan Tokugawa being arrested.
In retaliation, the remaining rogue Shade operators entered the TV Asahi building and took everyone there hostage, making a live broadcast where they threatened to have a single hostage killed every minute if their leader wasn't released within two hours. However, Shade member Goro regained his memory and transformed into Kamen Rider G to fight them.
Kamen Rider Drive[]
Prior to the Global Freeze, Shinnosuke Tomari and his partner Akira Hayase were investigating an underground terrorist group named Neo-Shade, whose name would hint at a connection to the Shade organization. This connection is further alluded to with Hayase's laptop showing that Neo-Shade has been active since 2009, the year the G special aired on January 31st.
