Shadow and Gasher are the two subordinates of Rikki in the Waller Empire's Spy Army and supporting antagonists in Jikuu Senshi Spielban.
They were portrayed by Chiemi Terado and Mako Yamashina.
History[]
Shadow and Gasher accompanied Rikki and the rest of Waller when they arrived at Earth, seeking to harness its water to sustain their Guardian Spirit, as well as their other technology which required water to function. The two often accompanied Rikki into the field, assisting in operations which required infiltration or subterfuge.
After Guillotine joined the Waller Empire and was proclaimed "Emperor" by Queen Pandora, the two quickly fell in love with him after he flirted with them. Guillotine promised Shadow and Gasher that he would them both his right-hands if they assisted him in his plan to defeat Spielban. The plan was to have the New Battle Mechanoid Guillotine had created rough up Spielban before having Shadow and Gasher come in and stab Spielban's life support system to deliver the finishing blow. In preparation, Guillotine had them both practice stabbing the same metal Spielban's armor was made out of.
After the two succeeded in penetrating the metal, Guillotine congratulated them and gave them both special daggers to use against Spielban which - unbeknownst to them - had explosives planted in them. Later, the New Battle Mechanoid was sent out to fight Spielban and succeeded in injuring him. It was at that point that Shadow and Gasher made their move. As they attempted to stab Spielban however, Spielban suddenly got up and slashed both of them, causing them to drop their daggers. The daggers both exploded upon hitting the ground, killing Shadow and Gasher and revealing them both to be bio-androids.
