Shane Finley is a minor antagonist in Red Dead Redemption 2, appearing in the mission "An Honest Day's Labors".
He is voiced by Jim E. Chandler.
Biography[]
Finley is an outlaw renowned for his skill at wearing disguises. Wanted in five states for robbery, cattle rustling and murder, including the murder of a child, Finley is considered the most wanted man in America and multiple bounties exist for his capture or killing, including a $400 bounty in the state of New Austin.
When Finley is spotted in the Armadillo/Tumbleweed area of New Austin, bounty hunters James Langton and Sadie Adler both independently begin hunting him down. Sadie manages to apprehend Finley after finding him in a brothel disguised as a woman, but near Armadillo she is ambushed by Langton and his men, who manage to steal Finley.
Sadie enlists the help of John Marston to recapture Finley from Langton. Tracking Langton's men to Pike's Basin, the two of them ambush their enemies and a shootout ensues in which Langton is killed. John then finds a tied-up Finley and puts him on the back of Sadie's horse before riding for Blackwater to hand Finley over to the sheriff. Despite an ambush by Langton's remaining men, they make it to Blackwater and hand Finley over to Sheriff Oswald Dunbar, who pays them the bounty and assures them he will see Finley hanged.
Trivia[]
- Although the player is intended to bring Finley in alive, they have the opportunity to kill Finley during the shootout with Langton. This will not affect their mission progress and they will still receive the bounty.
