Shann Childsen is a minor antagonist in the Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope, the first Star Wars movie.
He was portrayed by Malcolm Tierney who also played Doland in Doctor Who, and Magistrate Braveheart.

Background[]
Shann Childsen was served in the Stormtrooper corps of the Galactic Empire's army with order by Emperor and Darth Vader. He the rank of lieutenant and was stationed on board the Death Star, a battle station having destroy planets. Shann Childsen was worked on the station's fifth level in Detention Block AA-23, where prisoners including Princess Leia Organa.
A New Hope[]
Before the Battle of Yavin, Millennium Falcon arrived on the Death Star hoping to rescue princess, when Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Chewbacca arrived in Block AA-23 to rescue Princess Leia Organa from Shann Childsen in Detention Block AA-23. Childsen start see fight at Chewbacca and killed by Luke Skywalker.
