Shaurash-ho, the Prowler Among the Tombs, is a Great Old One mentioned in the Selected Letters of H. P. Lovecraft.
Biography[]
Very little is known about Shaurash-ho other than that he is a Great Old One. One of the only things that is known about him is that he is the progenitor of the Ghouls, being the father of Yogash the Ghoul, the first ghoul in existence. His other children include K'baa the Serpent and Ghoth the Burrower, the latter of which is an ancestor of H. P. Lovecraft. It is also known that he is a descendant of Cthulhu. The appearance of Shaurash-Ho has never been described.
Some sources say that a different Great Old One is the father of the ghouls, but this is unlikely as said Great Old One never visited Earth.
