Shawn Decker is a minor character in season eight of the TV show Dexter. He is a lust-driven murderer and student at the same high school as Zach Hamilton.
He was portrayed by Austin Brook.
Biography[]
While in high school, Decker strangled a girl to death during sex. He got away with it by claiming that her death was an accident, but afterward bragged to his friends about killing her. His classmate Zach Hamilton, a budding psychopath and murderer, later decided to kill Shawn after being taught the "Code of Harry" by Dexter Morgan, stalking him to the Florida Keys and setting up a kill room. Zach then attempted to kidnap Shawn but failed to knock him out, resulting in a fight during which Zach was forced to beat Shawn to death, concealing his body in his car.
He later showed the body to Dexter and Hannah McKay after Dexter accused him of killing Cassie Jollenston in order to prove that he could not have murdered Cassie because he was busy murdering Shawn.
