Biography[]
Shayes is an employee of Nick Kudrow. His boss worked on a project about a code he thought infaillible. But when a young autistic boy accidentally deciphers it, Kudrow sends alongside Peter Burrell to eliminate him. Shayes drives them to Simon's house where Burrell kills his parents but fails to find the boy. Shayes comes to pick Burrell and they flee before the police arrive.
Shayes later appears waiting in a station of Chicago's subway in order to find the boy. Going in a wagon, he seeks the boy going through several wagons. He finally sees Simon through a window sitting back to him. Pulling out his pistol which he had concealed in newspaper, he walks towards the child but during his transfer from the previous car to the other, he is attacked by FBI agent Art Jeffries. The latter deprives him of his weapon and kicks him several times. Shayes manages to hit Jeffreys in the face and destabilize him, gets up and punches him. At one point, he misses Jeffries and the agent pushes him out of the subway onto the tracks. It is strongly implied that he gets fatally hit by the train coming from the opposite direction given that he is neither seen or mentionned afterwards.
