| ~ Jetta to Roxy (Ep. "Britrock") |
Sheila Burns, better known by her stage name Jetta, is a secondary antagonist from the 1985 animated series Jem. She is the saxophonist for "The Misfits", joining the group as its fourth member in second season of the show.
This English musician was recruited by The Misfits to stay competitive against their rivals the Jem and the Holograms, deeming her sax skills to bring a fresh, edgier sound to their music. Although a gifted musician, she tends to rub her band-mates the wrong way due to her fantastic made-up lies, particularly due to her claiming to be British royalty when she actually comes from a poor family.
She is voiced by Louise Dorsey.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Sheila/Jetta is originally from Wissex, England and comes from a poor family; despite this, she likes telling people her family has close ties with the British Royal Family. Her parents, Bertie and Flo, made an appearance in the episode "Britrock" and, like their daughter, are always looking to make a quick buck.
Joining the Misfits[]
She became the newest Misfit when Stormer suddenly heard music, particularly a "powerful" saxophone, blaring in a seedy dance club. Jetta became the newest Misfit when Stormer hears Jetta playing the saxophone in a seedy dance club during a search for new talent. Jetta is also a skilled pickpocket. Extremely perceptive and calculating, Jetta almost immediately begins a rivalry with Roxy for status in the band.
