~ McDermott to Leatherneck after he saves her. |
Sheila McDermott is a supporting antagonist in the original G.I. Joe series episode "The Rotten Egg". She is a cadet of the COBRA Elite Corps and the right-hand woman of Buck McCann.
She was voiced by Susan Blu.
History[]
Sheila McDermott is an enforcer of Cobra Elite Corps leader Buck McCann, along with Mike P. Randall. When the CEC lured G.I. Joe member Leatherneck to the academy, Randall and McDermott salute him before the CEC captures him. Later, McCann organizes a game in which the cadets need to recapture a freed Leatherneck. Randall objects to it, but McDermott coldly tells him that Leatherneck is the enemy. A while later, she punches him for firing a missing shot at Leatherneck, and tells the others not to miss. As Leatherneck runs toward a nearby rapid, McDermott orders the men to circle around the north bank and check if Leatherneck is in the river, to which a cadet points out he would not try that as the current is too powerful. At that moment, Leatherneck kicks Randall in the chest, causing him to knock McDermott into the river. McDermott calls for help and Leatherneck rescues her. Despite that, McDermott tells Leatherneck she would not have done the same for him and knocks him out from behind.
When Leatherneck wakes up in the infirmary, he sees Serpentor arriving at the academy. Serpentor asks McDermott if the cadets can fight, and McDermott replies the ones that cannot are not present. As the CEC prepares the leave for the Parris Island Military Academy to attack the graduation ceremony, they notice Leatherneck escape. McDermott asks if she could "finish him once and for all", but McCann tells her he has planned it out. At Parris Island, McDermott and Randall plant explosives in the guardhouses. As Leatherneck restrains McCann, McDermott tries to shoot him but Randall stops her. After Leatherneck defeats McCann, McDermott yells for him to fight back. Leatherneck responds that McCann has never had any backbone, to which McDermott slaps him and says is a lie. She is unwilling to accept defeat, even as the Joes take her and the other cadets away.
