Shikama Dōji, formerly known as Shika Madou is one of the main antagonists of the dark fantasy manga, anime, and light novel series Seraph of the End. She is the oldest and first ever vampire in the entire series to have ever roamed the surface of the Earth, thus being referred as “The First” of the vampires generally according to himself. His presence even dates way back to the Dark Ages where she was more known under her original name of Sika Madu where he lived in Greece. During this era, he was planning for a major catastrophic event in the future with the use of certain demons; Gekkouin, Raimeiki, Byakkomaru, Noya Hienma, Kiseki-o, as well as including his own son Mikaela.
In the present day of the series, she agreed a contract with one of the female protagonists of the series Shinoa Hīragi of the Japanese Imperial Demon Army to become the manifestation of her scythe cursed gear that she uses in battle.
Appearance[]
Often mentioned as a male by characters throughout the series, Shikama is actually genderless and possessed many traits that can possibly lead him to be mistaken as a woman. During Yu’s flashback, he appears in the appearance of a beautiful woman with long silver-colored hair tied in a braid that extended to his waist and parted to his left side. He was seen in a Greek attire where a hood was covering her head with a longer cloak adorned with a laurel wreath pattern running down to her left arm that serves as a long loose sleeve. More cloaks are seen behind him and attached around his waist. He also has a necklace with a diamond suspended around his neck, long robe under the cloaks, and a hand band with more laurel wreath pattern on it.
Later, while dealing with Yūichirō Hyakuya (from the past) in space, he was seen growing a pair of giant feathered wings on her back.

Vampire[]
Although her personality was not very familiar for those who knew about her without having an actual encounter with him, Shikama can be depicted as a very calm and gentle individual that often showed a gentle smile while also branching to his calm tone that he spoke. He had the willingness to buy slave childrens to feed them often with a smile while watching them enjoying them enjoying the food to satisfy their hunger. He also informed Yu that he has no intention of mistreating him but instead is willing to make him his “house boy”.

As Yu’s seraph powers had awakened making him unable to control himself, he attempted to attack Ashera but is stopped by Shikama who grabs him by the neck and is seen with an impassive and a rather disappointed attitude while ordering Yu to control himself. When Yu had flown into space, Shikama had no hesitation to swiftly decapitate Yu’s head with a calm smile on his face, while mentioning that he has to start his current progress all over again with another failure.
Furthermore, to his surprise of seeing Ashera being still alive despite having his heart crushed by Yu, Shikama still maintains a calm demeanor and interrogates him whether he prefers his blood or Yu’s without showing any regards for the child who is on a life-threatening state.
Not so long after, he even openly admitted that he has the true intention of using the slave childrens as guinea pigs for the sake of his brutal experiments.
