Shinigami (死神 lit. Death God) is the aliens that appear in the Ultraman Gaia series as its secondary antagonist. He is the messenger of the Bearer of Radical Destruction. His true form is Zebub.
History[]
As the Messenger of Radical Destruction Bringer, he was sent to conquer Earth with the massive Mokian Kaiju, while also trying to force Hiroya Fujimiya to fight for the Bringer of Radical Destruction, he took Reiko Yoshi hostage. The Shinigami then tells Hiroya about Reiko, causing him to go looking for her in his apartment, but is instead taken to the M91 room. She found him and he showed himself to them and told him about the plan of destruction and conquest and even told him the fate of X.I.G and how he sent Mokain. Then Mokian was destroyed and the god of death left and the area where they stood exploded. Hiroya transformed into Ultraman Agul and followed him back however, only to show his true identity.
On Earth the Shinigami transforms into his true Zebub form and a blue giant and he fights however, things get worse when Zebub cuts Agul's hip open with his sword. Luckily Ultraman Gaia came and healed Agul, who returned to Fujimiya. The fight begins and the Zebub launches an attack on him and the warriors find out about his weak point, his horns, and detonate him and think he has been weakened attacking him at full power but, only to be deflected by the energy barrier and a battle ensues and one of the lead warriors attacks him and detonates.
But his spear and one of his eyes, he angrily knocked the fighter jet down. With enough time he transformed into the Supreme Version and used the Photon Stream to destroy it. With the death of the god, the final phase of the plan begins.

Trivia[]
- Shinigami is the second antagonist to mutilate Ultra, the first is Commander Black. However, unlike Commander Black, he failed to mutilate Agul due to being interrupted by Ultraman Gaia when he tried to cut Agul's leg.
