Shinobi is the main antagonist of the episode Episode XL: Samurai versus Ninja of the show Samurai Jack. He is Aku’s robot ninja whose purpose is to eliminate Samurai Jack.
History[]
Shinobi infiltrates the temple where Jack is busy praying. Shinobi manages to reach up to him and kills him. It is revealed to be a simulation for Aku to determine the result. Aku is satisfied with the result that Shinobi is ready to kill Samurai Jack.
Shinobi enters in the forest where he is observing Jack. He is sneaking up close to him ready to kill him. However, Shinobi is interrupted by a village boy, who is being chased by a robotic crab like monsters, that causes him to hold off while Jack is saving the boy by destroying it. The village boy asks Jack for help as there are more robots invading his village at the beach. Jack and the boy run to where the latter’s village is while Shinobi follows Jack. Jack notices that he was being followed, but The Ninja hides. As Jack and the boy made it to the village, Shinobi observes the fight between Jack and those crab robots. Shinobi notices as the villagers are running away from those monsters, the boy is being separated with his mother, which is the chance for Shinobi to kidnap the boy and take him to an abandoned building before Jack finishes off all those invading robots and being celebrated as a hero for saving the village until the mother’s distress.
Jack enters the building after learning from the mother that her son was kidnapped. Jack sees that the boy is tied and hanged by these ropes. As Jack was about the free the boy, he notices that Shinobi is ready to do sneak attack, but Jack dodges and rescues the boy, who immediately leaves the building while Shinobi is ready to fight Jack. As both Jack and Shinobi are fighting each other, the former realizes that the latter has the stealth technique allows him to hide in the dark, he decided to change his outfit to be a white ninja that allows him to hide in the light. This leads in battle between light and dark. As the sunset more of the dark area expands while the light area shrinks giving Shinobi’s advantage. As Shinobi is ready to kill Jack, the latter realizes where former is and use the sword to reflect the light towards Shinobi’s face blinding him this allows Jack to throw his sword to impale him at his chest pinned to the post. Shinobi is shut down as the sword slices up to his face and then fall of the ledge dead.
After the destruction of Aku in the past, it is likely Shinobi will ceased to exist due to being created to serve him.
