Shinya Kiritani, or better known as Yellow Keeper is the main antagonist of the comedy manga and anime series Go! Go! Loser Ranger!. For the past 13 years, after the Dragon Keepers' triumph against the Villainous Army, Yellow Keeper and his comrades have been forcing the remaining members of the Villainous Army, the Dusters, into putting on an act for the public as a show referred as the "Sunday Battles", to improve he and the other Dragon Keepers' images.
He is voiced by Kensho Ono in Japanese and Dino Andrade in English.
Appearance[]
Shinya is a tall, skinny, and lanky young man, who wears an ever-so present grin on his face. He has light blonde hair fashioned into a bowl-cut, and has crocodile green eyes.
As Yellow Keeper, Shinya sports his signature yellow costume with a Y-shaped line separated into three across his torso, along with white linings on the border. His hands wear a pair of white gloves and his feet a pair of black boots. In public, Shinya's face is typically concealed with the Yellow Keeper helmet that has a long yellow vertical line that goes around his helmet, leaving only his mouth visible. His waist is surrounded by a white belt with his signature golden buckle engraved with the symbol of the Divine Dragon. His costume completes with a long white cape with a tall collar, which is held together by a yellow ribbon.

Shinya is seen to be very carefree and dismissive, much to the point where he didn't show any reaction whatsoever when Red Keeper killed his own subordinate in front of every other Dragon Keeper and Junior First Class during a Holy Banquet. He has also shown himself to have a very glib tongue, as he always finds a way to make others view him in the right. Shown when during a press-conference with the Invader Rights Association, an organization that advocated for Invaders' Rights, Shinya was seen to be the mouthpiece for the rangers, and he very quickly gained the upper hand in the argument, successfully persuading that the Rangers are in the right for slaughtering the Invaders.
Shinya has also repeatedly displayed little to no empathy for others, shown when he turned Yumeko Suzukiri's family, the Suzukiri Clan, into the five true Divine Tools that the Dragon Keepers wield today in order to fight the the Invaders he created himself, and when he promptly replaces Red Keeper with a clone after he got tired of his anger-fits causing too much trouble for the Rangers.
Abilities[]
- Master tactician/manipulator: Shinya is a master at responding correctly to the right situations. Shown when Shinya's own subordinate called him an evil hero and betrayed him after he killed his own comrade in order to kill an Executive, he merely laughed, stated that he already knew he was evil, and started to point out her own evils in life, which led to him easily getting in her head, which led to her killing herself.
- Leadership: He is the leader of the largest battalion, which holds over 1000 rangers.
- Indomitable Will: Shown when he was looking for a way to make the true Divine Tools, he stated that he worked, and he worked, and he worked, and even after countless failures, he never once lost hope.
Equipment[]
- Yellow Dragon Jörmugandr: As all five Dragon Keepers are stated to have one each of the five true Divine Tools, the Yellow Keeper holds the true Divine Tool; Yellow Dragon Jörmungandr, which gives him access to use the five invocations stored in the five cartridges attached to the Yellow Dragon Jörmungandr. The Yellow Dragon Jörmungandr also puts the Yellow Keeper suit up whenever the user transforms.
- Dragon Gadget (formerly): A small gadget that can be used as a sword and a gun. As Shinya is a member of the Rangers, he has access to this all-purpose weapon.
Attacks[]
- Tsukuyomi: The first Invocation of the Yellow Dragon Jörmungandr, it allows the user to control the outside world like a TV. They are able to mute, fast-forward, pause, and rewind a specific thing or person.
- Ama no Hagoromo: The second Invocation of the Yellow Dragon Jörmungandr, it allows the user to become invisible.
- Hono Ikazuchi no Ōkami: The third Invocation of the Yellow Dragon Jörmungandr, it allows the user to summon thunder clouds that can dispel lightning to their weapon.
- Takemikazuchi no Kami: The fourth Invocation of the Yellow Dragon Jörmungandr, it allows the user to fire a large beams of solid energy.
Trivia[]
- Shinya Kiritani is essentially the evil counterpart of Yellow Rangers from the iconic tokusatsu franchise Super Sentai and it's American adaptation Power Rangers franchise such as Trini Kwan/Dine Tribe Knight Boi.
