“ | And I want respect for the bandits and our rules, buddy, but I ain't interested in unnecessary trouble either... | „ |
~ Shishak |
Shishak is a supporting antagonist in the Ukrainian FPS survival horror video game S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call Of Pripyat.
Shishak is a leader of his own gang who settled at the Container Warehouse in the area around Jupiter.
Personality[]
Shishak is described as a "fair man" who doesn't takes more than he owes. However, despite his rather honorable attitude, Shishak also was shown as a greedy man, who attempted to exploit the local stalkers so they would cut of the artifacts for him and his gang.
Shishak also appears as a genuinely affable and friendly person who avoids direct confrontation: It is implied that he settled in Jupiter to avoid conflict with Sultan. However, it doesn't explain why he decided to kidnap Mitay, if he is not "interested in unnecessary trouble", despite knowing that his friends might want revenge.
Shishak has no problems with murder, kidnapping and other criminal activities. Shishak is also much better leader than his contemporary, Jack, who is simply a greedy coward.
Appearance[]
Shishak wears a regular trench coat and turtle-neck inner jacket, popular among experienced bandits with a ski mask that covers his face and fingerless gloves.
Biography[]
Shishak either founded or replaced the former leader of the gang prior the events of the game. As the leader of the gang, Shishak traveled to the Jupiter region, seemingly to not get into conflict with Sultan's Gang. He and his men began demanding a cut of the artifacts stalkers find, but they refused. In response, the Bandits kidnapped one of the stalkers, Mitay and held hostage, demanding ransom for Mitay's release.
Mitay's friends, suggested different solutions: Grizzly, proposed to attack the bandits' base and simply kill the bandits, while Torba proposed to pay the ransom. The player can chose between the two options:
- Diplomatic: The player decides to go by Torba's proposal. In this scenario Alexey Degtyarev will negotiation with Shishak and pay with either an artifact or with a paycheck. In this scenario Shishak will remain alive up untill the end of the game.
- Rescue Mitay by force: The player deicides to go by Grizzly's proposal. In this scenario Alexey Degtyarev with or without Grizzly will storm the bandits' base and kill all the bandits, including Shishak.
- Mitay dies: It's possible for Mitay to be killed by Shishak during the ambush.
Powers & Skills[]
- Leadership: Shishak is the leader of his own gang. And while there isn't much competition in Jupiter besides mere robbers and Jack, Shishak is shown to be a much more reliable leader, especially with his avoidance of unnecessary violence.
Trivia[]
- The bandit's alias, Shishak, comes from the name of Russian lobster-tailed pot helmet.
