He is voiced by Brian Drummond.
Biography[]
While in Cybertron's underground prison with the other Decepticons, Shockblast was still in his cell when the other Decepticons began to rebel after hearing of Unicron's return. But then he managed to break out of prison and return to the Decepticons, unaware that Megatron was going to secretly feed him to Unicron. During the escape, he killed one Autobot named Padlock, after which another prison guard, Autobot Wing Dagger, began to seek revenge on him for that.
After reaching the surface of Cybertron, Megatron sent his men to retrieve him, although Tidal Wave did not trust him at all due to his inability to obey orders. While he was fighting Megatron's men, Rad flipped the Energon Grid and hit him when he didn't have an Energon Star to reflect the Energon, but Tidal Wave obeyed Megatron's command and retrieved him just as he destroyed the second Energon Tower, crippling the Autobots' Energon Grid.
Later, he began to turn against Megatron and tried to destroy him, but he ended up in another dimension in the process, and the Iron Planet there. When the Autobots found him, Wing Dagger, built as Wing Saber, began to fight him to avenge Padlock's death, and he defeated him in battle and was captured. But with Inferno guarding him, he got Megatron to come to his aid, although Megatron initially intended to handle him, he made a deal with Megatron to capture Inferno for Megatron as proof of his loyalty. Megatron agreed to his deal and freed him, warning that if he failed he would be destroyed, after which he went after Inferno with the help of Starscream, and when Starscream captured Inferno, and when Megatron labeled him a Decepticon, he and Megatron and his men then left.
After his release and escape, he continued to fight the Autobots with the Decepticons, collecting Energon for Unicron, but later turned against Megatron again and absorbed Unicron's powers into himself, after which Unicron's power awakened the evil within him, causing him to act in the same manner as Unicron had become a part of him. On the Snow Planet, Optimus Supreme fought him while being controlled by Unicron's power, but when he was freed from Unicron's power, Megatron caused Unicron to destroy him. He was also seen fighting in the Autobots vs. Decepticons virtual tournament where the Autobots and Decepticons battled each other virtually.

Trivia[]
- Because Hasbro did not have the trademark for the name at the time, Shockblast wasn't given the name Shockwave and instead was settled with the name he has now. Nonetheless, he is still considered to be a version of Shockwave and is often featured alongside other versions of the character.
