Shogo Taguchi is a minor antagonist in the manga, anime and light novel series That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime.
He was an otherworlder that was summoned to serve the Kingdom of Falmuth and later been assigned to cause trouble against the Jura Tempest Federation alongside with Kyoya Tachibana and Kirara Mizutani.
He is voiced by Chiaki Kobayashi in Japanese and by Matt Shipman in English.
Appearance[]
Shogo is an average man with dark spiky hair. He wears a long grey coat with a white shirt underneath. His attire finishes with dark pants and a pair of brown-colored shoes.
Personality[]
Shogo can be depicted as a man with an overwhelming sense of self-importance and obnoxious attitude, firmly believing himself to be among the most powerful individuals. He even went as far as considering himself on par with Hinata Sakaguchi, showcasing his inflated ego.
Furthermore, Shogo displayed sadistic tendencies, evident in his desire into forcing Shuna and Shion to slavery and torment them until they reached a point of emotional distress, where they would plead for forgiveness.
His concern for others was minimal, if not nonexistent, except for his attachment to Kirara and Kyouya. This however is not the case when he is in a life-threatening situation such as when he was running a furious Geld and made the decision to betray Kirara by absoring Shogo, killing in order to gain acquire more power to face the Orc King. Additionally, he harbored a deep resentment towards his unfortunate condition as a servant to a nation he held little regard for.

- Expertise in Martial Art: Before having being summoned in his new world, he was trained in Karate since at a young age, making him a highly dangerous fighter that is able to take on over 30 mages on his own.
