Shouichi Makise publicly known as Dr. Nakabachi, is the overarching antagonist of the Steins;Gate franchise. He is a scientist researching in the field of time-travelling. He is later revealed to be the father (and attempted killer) of Kurisu Makise.
Plot[]
In the original timeline, he kills Kurisu, steals her work and he eventually causes World War III. Rintaro Okabe accidentally prevents his plans after sending the first D-Mail.
In an alternate timeline, Rintaro stops him from killing Kurisu, but accidentally stabs her himself. Rintaro alters history so Shouichi's papers burn up in a plane fire.
Personality[]
Shouichi despises being upstaged. When his daughter Kurisu cracked time travel, he was greatly enraged and decided to kill her and steal her papers. When Obake accidentally stabs Kurisu, he calls it "Poetic Justice".
