The Shrill are supporting antagonists in the film The Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Fury. They are a dangerous species of alien creatures that are hostile to other lifeforms with the exception of other Shrill. Two of them are seen onboard Antonia Chillingsworth's ship, the Kublai Khan, where they try to kill Riddick, Jack, and Imam. Although the creatures put up a fight, they eventually are killed by Riddick.
History[]
Two of the Shrill appear in Antonia's private quarters of the ship (the green one and the violet one). They are released in order to attempt to kill Riddick. The green Shrill then kills a mercenary (who fell in the area along with Riddick) and the unfortunate victim is reduced into a form of goo. The violet Shrill then attacks Riddick and knocks him back into Jack (Jack and Imam are restrained in the room to force Riddick to fight the two Shrill) and is knocked off the ball and begins suffocate until Imam rolls his ball over to her.
After Riddick gets free of his restraints during the fight with the violet Shrill, it regroups with the green Shrill. The violet Shrill then tries to kill Imam and Jack but is stunned when struck with the other ball by Riddick. He then kills it by slicing the center of it's body (which appeared to be it's brain). The green Shrill then grabs Riddick and subdues him. As it prepares to finish him off, Jack stops the Shrill by grabbing its neck with an amputated tentacle of the other deceased Shrill. Riddick is able to get the knife from Jack and finishes off the remaining Shrill by stabbing it in the center of its body.
