Shun Uruma (漆間 俊 Uruma Shun) is the main protagonist of the 2020 psychological manga series Juujika no Rokunin. He is a young teenager who is very bent on murdering his bullies who are responsible for not only the abuse they put him through but also for killing his family.
After having to lose to his grandfather and his little brother on the same night Shigoku Kyou escaped and was later arrested, Uruma somehow gained amnesia and was found by Kitami Kougo, joining Juujika, and later regaining his memories. In doing so, he sparked his passion for vengeance once more and intends to bring down Kyou once and for all.
Personality[]
Before his current state, Uruma was originally kind and caring for all life around him, even being a bit timid back then; which ended up making him a target for Kyou and his companions to ruthlessly but violently abuse and torture him every day nonstop. In spite of everything, Uruma withholds a strong-willed nature that allowed him to continue going forward, even though he is in misery, that changes when his parents died and his little brother had gone through a coma.
Because of what happened to him, even with his grandfather training him to get back at his bullies, Uruma has grown from a once innocent and loving child to a cold, vengeful, and broken teenager who was consumed by his own grief and rage, now wanting to torture and kill those who had taken away everything from him.
Despite his newly cold persona, Uruma still has much of his humanity with him as he is seen to be protective of others, like Chizuru, when he protected from being raped twice and he happens to show sympathy for those who went through a lot like he felt compassion for Karen's well-being after she has been sexually abused by Ushiro regularly. He also still cares about his parents and his little brother Kakeru, as he would regularly visit him at the hospital, wanting to ensure his brother is still alive, the same goes for his grandfather who took him in.
Even though he is rather serious and cold, he does happen to be socially awkward around speaking to girls, like Kaname for example, and is rather anti-social at times.
As an adult, he began suffering from amnesia and doesn't remember anyone he knew of, especially Azuma. However, he still remembers all the methods his grandfather taught him and stays intact with his murderous and torturous persona. It was only for a moment would Uruma regain memory of his times with Azuma and the horrible experiences of Kyou himself, including finding out about his old burnt home where he regained the spark for revenge.
