Shuu Wanibuchi is the main antagonist of the manga prequel King of Braves GaoGaiGar Final the COMIC. He is a classmate of Guy Shishiou back in their middle school days, suferring from an inferiority complex due to Guy always winning against him. As a result, Shuu joined BioNet to become a cyborg in order to be better than Guy.
Personality[]
Shuu is deeply envious with Guy Shishiou and wishes to surpass him, even challenging Guy to a deal before he had his first mission as an astronaut. Thus, he always desired to be better than him, to the point that he is willing to let BioNet to convert him into a prototype Pseudo-Zonder cyborg or resorts to kidnap Mikoto to force Guy to fight. However, Shuu is unwilling to hurt Mikoto, even protesting to his boss Gimlet.
Biography[]
Shuu was a classmate with Guy ever since middle school. Back in middle school, Shuu is always in the second place and is beaten by Guy, eventually being seen as his rival. After the two graduated, Guy went on to become an astronaut, but before Guy could have his first mission, Shuu challenged him to a duel. which Guy accepted. After Guy took off and started his first mission, his shuttle was hit by EI-01, and while Guy later became a cyborg, Shuu believed that Guy perished during the accident.
After the defeat of the Primevals, Guy resurfaced and is praised as a hero, and Shuu, knowing that he won't stand a chance against the now transformed Guy. As a result, Shuu joined the criminal organization BioNet and volunteered himself on their Pseudo-Zonder Metal experiment, which converted Shuu into a cyborg.
Later, Shuu was sent to attack the GGG transport Yasakani when it was traveling on the Caribbean Sea. Shuu raided Yasakani as he led some BioNet soldiers to attack the storage area to take away the StealthGao and kidnapped Mikoto Utsugi, so that he could force Guy to have a one-on-one battle with him.
Later, after sending a bunch of BioNet agents to go after Guy and Guy was able to defeat them with the help of Renais, Shuu revealed himself to Guy and told him that he will be waiting for him in Japan.
At some point in Japan, Shuu challenged Guy into a fight again, and he revealed that he had took the control of LinerGao II and DrillGao II too. Guy tried to keep the GaoMachines by carrying out Final Fusion, but with Shuu jumping into the GaoFar and Gimlet dropping Mikoto off from their flying fortress, Guy was distracted and thus Shuu was able to send Guy falling off from the GaoFar, only for him to be unable to withstand the pressure of Final Fusion as he was nearly crushed by the sheer pressure. At the same time, Taiga ordered to have Final Fusion cancelled to prevent GaoFighGar from falling into the hands of BioNet, thus at the same time saving Shuu too. However, Shuu showed displeasure over Gimlet's treatment to Mikoto, Shuu, together with Gimlet later headed to Hong Kong to carry out Final Fusion to claim GaoFighGar for themselves.
At Hong Kong, Shuu carried out Fusion and becomes the pilot of GaoFar as he was waiting for Guy. During his waiting, he was ambushed by the GGG Mobile Force units, but Shuu was able to defeat them. Soon after, Gimlet brought Guy, who surrounded himself to BioNet to save Mikoto, to Shuu. Shuu then claimed that he will surpass Guy by successfully carrying out Final Fusion as Alouette started the Final Fusion program, however, Alouette secretly altered the code to allow Guy to jump into GaoFar as Final Fusion started, in there, Shuu's body started to be crushed by Final Fusion's pressure as it started to become fragile. Guy then asked why Shuu did all this at that meant he won't be able to fulfill promise they made back before Guy received his first mission. With that, Shuu realized that Guy still remember the promise, and he told him he desired to overcome his fate before his body was shattered by the force of Final Fusion.
