+ | In this game, Fly Guys, which are Shy Guys that have propellers on their heads and can fly, appear as enemies in several levels, specifically Shifting Sand Land, Snowman's Land, Tall, Tall Mountain, Tiny-Huge Island and Rainbow Ride. They have two attacks, one being a dive towards Mario, and the other being the ability to spit small bursts of flame at him while in the air. They can be defeated by being punched when close enough, doing a mid-air kick, or jumping on top of them, which, due to their propellers, will give Mario an extra boost and cause him to do a propeller jump where he sticks his arms out and slowly spins back towards the ground. |

+ | ==Trivia== |
||
+ | *To date, many ''Mario'' fans still speculate how Shy Guys must look under their masks, as they have never took them off. In ''Mario Power Tennis'', when a Shy Guy wins a Singles Tournament, he trips on a step while walking to the podium to take his trophy and his mask falls off, but the player is unable to see it. Judging by Luigi's astonishment upon seeing Shy Guy's face, this may indicate that the face of the Shy Guys are terrifying or strange. |
||
+ | **Some fans even say that Shy Guy’s true faces are actually their masks, as in ''Mario Strikers Charged'', they are able to make expressions with their masks on. |

The Shy Guys are armies of creatures who are followers of Bowser and even other villains like Wart and King Boo. They always wear masks that cover their faces. They differ in color and variety. They also made a minor appearance in The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening as enemies. They are friendly to Mario and company in Mario Super Sluggers.
They have been voiced by Nate Bihldorff since 2004.
Biography
Doki Doki Panic/Super Mario Bros. 2
Shy Guys make their first appearance here as minions of Wart and the 8 Bit Club. The player can easily defeat them by picking them up and throwing them.
Super Mario 64
In this game, Fly Guys, which are Shy Guys that have propellers on their heads and can fly, appear as enemies in several levels, specifically Shifting Sand Land, Snowman's Land, Tall, Tall Mountain, Tiny-Huge Island and Rainbow Ride.

Aside from sports and kart racing, the Shy Guys pride themselves in their skills, showing what they can not only do in sports, but combat. Trivia
- To date, many Mario fans still speculate how Shy Guys must look under their masks, as they have never took them off. In Mario Power Tennis, when a Shy Guy wins a Singles Tournament, he trips on a step while walking to the podium to take his trophy and his mask falls off, but the player is unable to see it. Judging by Luigi's astonishment upon seeing Shy Guy's face, this may indicate that the face of the Shy Guys are terrifying or strange.
- Some fans even say that Shy Guy’s true faces are actually their masks, as in Mario Strikers Charged, they are able to make expressions with their masks on.
