The Sick Demon (病魔) is a titular minor antagonist of Taiwanese animated series Brave Animated Series, based on the comic Brave Series (勇者系列) by Yellow Book. He holds the esteemed, albeit fearsome, position as one of the Four General Demon Kings. His disdain for the Braves is well-documented, leading him to actively subvert their efforts and aid those targeted by Brave Kingdom.
He is voiced by Taiwanese dubbing actress Tseng Yun Fan, who also voices Bunny, Dragon Queen and Sage in the same animated series.
Biography[]
Sick Demon's exact origins are shrouded in betrayal of the king of the Brave Kingdom, but he first appears incarcerated by Brave Kingdom. During his captivity, he encounters the dragon-human hybrid daughter, Dragon Girl of Dragon Killer Brave and Blue Dragon. Driven by his profound hatred for Braves and Brave Kingdom, Sick Demon orchestrates and assists in her escape. He reveals his unique magical capabilities, referring to them as "Mental Disease Magic", which he seems to have used or intends to use against his enemies. Later, in order to protect Dragon Girl, he chose to avenge her, but was defeated by the magic of the mage Braves and turned into a virus strain. Then he was placed in a petri dish by Dragon Girl and given to Chief Brave, who she let him return to the Demons. Water Demon was assigned by a high-ranking official of Demon as a researcher to study this virus strain, which was used as a fuel source for aircraft.

Sick Demon is characterized by his strong animosity towards Braves and Brave Kingdom. He is cunning, resourceful, and unapologetically aligned with the Demon clan's objectives. His willingness to aid others who share his anti-Hero sentiments underscores his villainous nature. He expresses a clear "I hate Braves" stance, solidifying his role as an antagonist.
Appearance[]
Sick Demon's body is black, composed entirely of the virus strain he hosts, and his light-green mouth and eyes, which exhibits black stripes radiating outward. He possesses eight tentacles, and his body can morph and utilize corrosive abilities to pass through walls and iron bars. His tentacles can also transform into key shapes. He wears only a purple T-shirt emblazoned with the word "Sick" in bright green letters, where the letter "C" is rendered as a skull motif.

- Shape Shifting - He can transform his hands in any kind of weapons like Knives or even non weapons like keys.

Trivia[]
- In the original comics, he never met Dragon Girl nor was imprisoned. He had previously helped humans cure illnesses, but after the King of the Brave Kingdom declared him a demon, his heartbreak drove him to seek revenge against humanity. Later, realizing he could not defeat humans, he made peace with the Braves. He encountered Nightmare Brave from the Brave Guild, and he called himself "Rising Brave" (振作勇者). This time, he participated in the war against Fallen Mad Demon. However, the Nightmare Brave mistook him for a demonic being and attacked him in rage, inadvertently damaging the Guild City. Later, he was assassinated by Killer Brave (和諧勇者). Upon witnessing this, Nightmare Brave flew into a rage and counterattacked Killer Brave. Subsequently, he reconciled with Rising Brave once more. Then, Sick Demon bid farewell to the Fallen Mad Demon and departed Guild City.
