Sidney J. Mussburger is a greedy businessman and the main antagonist of the 1994 film The Hudsucker Proxy.
He was portrayed by the late Paul Newman.
History
Mussburger was first seen at the broken window, where the owner of the company, Hudsucker Industries, Waring Hudsucker, jumped through and died during a staff meeting.
Personality
Sidney Mussburger is shown to have sympathy for no one working at Hudsucker industries. Ever since the owner died, Hudsucker decided to take over the company. However, he might have expected Hudsucker to kill himself, although it hasn't been proven.
As soon as he hired Norville Barnes, he saw past his incompetence and hired him as the company's president, only to control interest of the company. However, at the end of the movie, he was shocked to see Barnes alive and became crazy, thus sending him to a mental hospital.
