Sigma is a major character in the manga/anime series Bungo Stray Dogs. He serves as the main antagonist of the Sky Casino Arc and is on the verge of becoming a redeemed character.
Sigma is a former member of the terrorist group called the Decay of the Angel and is the manager of the Sky Casino. Unlike majority of the characters in the series, he is not based off of a literary figure, but rather written into existence by the reality altering book.
He is voiced by Shōya Chiba (who also voiced Kiyotaka Ayanokōji in Classroom of the Elite) in Japanese and by Cory Yee in English.
Personality[]
Despite being a terrorist, Sigma is polite to his customers in the Sky Casino. In the manga, he gave one of his customers another chance to win at a game because the game was cheating him.
Sigma holds a strong sense of ownership towards the casino, he refused to close down the casino when the Hunting Dogs told him to close it down. To add to that, he sees the Sky Casino as a home and is willing to risk his life to protect it.
Sigma also tends to stay strong for the people in the casino, even in crisis situations like when the Hunting Dogs blew up the exit, he tells his men to stay calm and keep everyone else from panicking. However, when he's alone, he seems to be stressed and almost freaks about the problem. He also admits he has no confidence in his skills as a casino manager because of his lack of natural talents.
One thing Sigma hates is being used by people, the thing he wants most in life besides a home is his own reason to live. Fyodor stated that the thing that makes Sigma powerful is not his ability but his determination and how desperate he can be.

Putting aside the fact that he's an accessory to an act of terrorism, he doesn't seem to like causing harm to people unless it's necessary, for example, when he got info about the location of the page from the Book by touching the Special Division for Unusual Powers director Santōka Taneda, he claims that his attack was a mere threat and that he had no intentions of harming him.
Biography[]
Sigma himself was a person born from being written into the Book three years ago before the events of the series, he had no name and no family. When first opened his eyes, the first thing he saw was a desert full of nothingness. and his only possession were the clothes on his back and a train ticket from a station that does not exist.
Sigma wandered around the desert of nothingness until he was founded by a group of criminals he was forced to work for. This is when he unlocked his information exchanging ability, causing his captors to take advantage of that as well. he managed to escape from then and continued to wander the world nationalistically due to not knowing his reason for living or existing.
At one point, Sigma was founded by Fyodor who offered him to join the Decay of the Angel. Sigma accepted his invite and was given a task to oversee the Sky Casino, a job he came to love and a place he could call home.
Abilities[]
- Information Exchange Ability: Sigma ability allows him to exchange information with anyone he touches. The exchange consists of "giving" the personal information they want to know and thus giving Sigma the information he wants to know.
- Leadership: As the Sky Casino manager, Sigma is able to give out orders to his subordinates that are well thought out and safe for them and his clients.
- Mastery Memorization: Sigma can memorize the names, traits, and faces of his customers, even up to 20,000 guests. However, it is revealed that he memorizes the knowledge of the Sky Casino and his guests since he didn't want to lose his casino.

- His name Sigma is derived from the eighteenth letter of the Greek alphabet Σ σ ς, and is usually used in mathematics to mean "sum".
- He has a dislike towards deserts, the act of starvation, and people who seek to use him.
- He likes Casinos, high places, talent, cookies.
