Biography[]
Silken Floss took up a job as the secretary and assistant to The Octopus after wanting fun and excitement in her life and works with his criminal empire to get money to pay off her PHD loans. She is a beautiful femme fatale with brains to boot and is just as smart as the Octopus, yet only a little bit more sane than he is. She manages the day-to-day running of his drug trade, of which has multiple, dangerous side-effects to the users.
She is also a brilliant scientist who helps him create the many clones he uses as mindless henchman. She is first seen arriving in a truck to take the stolen artefact acquired by Sand Saref (who was double crossed and loses one of the two crates to The Octopus), which is a vase that contains the blood of Heracles. The Octopus plans to use the blood and combine it with his own healing serum to grant him true immortality and abilities of a god to make him unstoppable.
The Spirit is led right to the Octopus' lair and Silken seduces him, knowing he is unable to resist beautiful women and just as they are about to kiss, she injects him with a tranquilliser. She then straps him to a chair and assist The Octopus in a demonstration of what their evil plan entails, showcasing the effects of their formula by killing a kitten, which enrages the Spirit and with the help of Plaster of Paris, manages to escape the clutches.
Silken Floss is seen again at the final battle, where Sand Saref meets with her to exchange the artefacts that were intended for each party. Silken gets her henchman to give the Golden Fleece to her while Sand hands over the vase. However, she is double crossed yet again by The Octopus who wants to kill her. Sand can see this is not what Silken wants and begs her to leave the Octopus, telling her that he will kill her too eventually. Silken reiterates that this life of crime is fun for her and she needs the money for college.
The police arrive and try to apprehend The Octopus, and Sand once again pleads with Silken Floss to get out of there before it's too late and this time she agrees. Silken gets in the truck and speeds away. Later, as the Octopus is blown apart in his final battle against The Spirit, Silken returns with the henchman where she picks up the severed finger of The Octopus and plans to rebuild him in the lab from scratch.
