The SilverCops are major antagonists in the science fiction black comedy cartoon Solar Opposites. They are a corrupt military/law enforcement agency comprised of aliens from various different worlds. They are armed with silversuits, extremely powerful suits of armor capable of shapeshifting into any weaponry they choose.
Hierarcy[]
Sergeants[]
Sergeants are the highest ranking SilverCops seen, though it can be presumed that they have their own superior officers. They are in charge of leading SilverCops squadrons, as well as selecting SilverCops from the academy. Some also lead teams of SilverGrunts, as seen with Argeant.
SilverCops[]
The most common type of SilverCop and the ones the organization is named after, SilverCops are the galactic equivalent of police officers, albeit extremely corrupt ones. While many beings try out to be SilverCops, usually, only one is selected from each academy class. They are armed with silversuits and typically operate in groups of two or more. They are often seen patrolling the galaxy looking for criminals, such as Shlorpians.
SilverGrunts[]
The bulk of the armada, SilverGrunts are the lowest ranking members of the SilverCops, made of the tryouts that were considered unworthy to be true silvers. They do not join willingly, but rather are forcibly shipped off to alien worlds, where they act as disposable soldiers. They do not have silversuits of their own, only being provided basic weaponry.
Equipment[]
SilverSuit[]
Regarded as the most powerful weapon in the universe, the silversuit is worn by every SilverCop, excluding SilverGrunts. Despite its name, it is not true clothing, but rather a metallic liquid than engulfs the user and bonds with their very DNA. Silversuits are controlled by their users' thoughts and can shapeshift into whatever said user imagines. They also offer other abilities, such as flight.
Spacecrafts[]
SilverCops have a vast armada of spacecrafts. The ships are silver, must like everything else affiliated with the SilverCops. While they are used to transport prisoners back to SilverWorld, they are most commonly seen in wars, where they fire at the enemy and transport SilverGrunts to the ground below.
Trivia[]
- They are an obvious homage to the SilverHawks from the 1986 television series of the same name. They also have several similarities with the Green Lanterns from DC comics, as Glen points out.
