Biography[]
Little is known about this version of Silvermane. It's known that he once ruled the New York's criminal underworld, but then he was exposed by Frederick Foswell and incarcerated to the jail for twelve years. His daughter Sable Manfredi was in charge of his criminal empire, but soon Tombstone took over the crime and Silvermane's criminal empire collapsed.
When Silvermane was about to be released from the prison, the gang war started in New York, and Manfredi's daughter, Silver Sable attended the meeting of the crime bosses in his place, where the product, a powerful weapon was sold. This weapon could produce a powerful impenetrable super soldiers with armored skin. However, due to the interference of Spider-Man, none of the crime bosses managed to obtain this product due Norman Osborn having secretly taken the real one while the fake one was destroyed by Rhino.
Silvermane was eventually released from prison, and resumed control of his criminal operations. Manfredi then attended the meeting at the Metropolitan Opera House with Tombstone and Doctor Octopus on Valentine's Day. Silvermane argued with his rivals that the Manfredi family once ruled New York for years with an iron fist and he declared that he wanted to take his empire back. Tombstone claimed that a criminal empire should be ruled like a business, while Doctor Octopus protested that crime in the city should be addressed as a science. After this the crime bosses argued over who called the meeting, while accusing each other. At that point, Hammerhead knocked out Silver Sable and started a fight between them. Silvermane activated his hidden hydraulic exoskeleton, that increased his strength and fought the Big Man. Tombstone tried to explain that they were all tricked by Hammerhead, but Silverman refused to listen him and attacked Lincoln again, while unleashing a powerful energy blast. Doctor Octopus eventually decided to turn against Silvermane as well, because Octavius believed that he was tricked, and when Spider-Man stepped in, the four fighters fought each other.
The ensuing fight continued to the exterior of the Metropolitan Opera House, attracting the ordinary citizen, who watched the battle. Silvermane fpught Spider-Man and knocked the vigilante around a few times. Manfredi then grabbed Parker and tried to crush him. Spider-Man blinded the crime boss with his webbing, but this didn't stop Silvermane. Parker realized Manfredi's weakness and pulled off his hydraulic servos, rendering Silvermane powerless. Doctor Octopus even tried to sever his rival, but was lured away by Spider-Man. After the fight was over, Silvermane was carried into a van by the police.
Unknown to the crime lords (except Tombstone), it is revealed that the Green Goblin was behind the orchestration the gang war to get rid of the other crime lords to leave himself as the new Big Man of Crime.
In the next episode of the series, Silvermane was incarcerated on Ryker's Island, and when Spider-Man was trapped inside to test the Vault's security system, the Green Goblin released the prison's inmates. Silvermane proposes an alliance between the convicts, and joins forces with the Enforcers, and a robot duplicate of Mysterio to get rid of their common enemy webslinger. Shortly after, Rhino and Molten Man joined their battle, but they were all ultimately trapped in the Vault's tranquilizing gas store room, where they get knocked out by Walter Hardy and eventually returned to their confinements.
