The Sindacco Family are a crime family in the Grand Theft Auto 3D Universe. They serve as supporting antagonists in San Andreas and one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside the Forellis) of Liberty City Stories. They are an Italian-American crime family who overtime are wiped out by their enemies.
History[]
Before the events of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, the Sindaccos were one of the most powerful mafia families in Liberty City, along with the Leones and the Forellis, with the don being Paulie Sindacco, while his relative, possibly his son or nephew, Johnny worked as the underboss. However, at some point before 1992, the Sindaccos lost a majority of their power, losing their intimidation towards other gangs.
In 1992, the Sindaccos had a stake in Caligula's Casino, later represented by Johnny while his father was expanding territory in Liberty City. He died from a shock-induced heart failure in GTA: San Andreas after meeting protagonist Carl Johnson for a second time.
In 1998, Toni Cipriani used JD O'Toole as an inside-man to help to claim the Red Light District and Paulie's Revue Bar (renamed Sex Club 7 by Salvatore Leone) as Leone territory. After gang war of 1998, the Sindaccos attempted to establish a truce, but Toni Cipriani uses a remote control device to assume control of Paulie Sindacco's car and run over dozens of Forelli Family members with it.
With the Don dead and no turf or front companies remaining in Liberty City, the Sindacco family most likely ceased to exist, although it may have kept its territory in Las Venturas. They are never seen or mentioned in GTA III.
