Sir Harry Hardwick is a minor villain appearing in the WB television series Smallville, appearing in the Season One episode "Leech".
He was portrayed by William Samples, who also played Anton Ruric in Masters of Horror.
History[]
Sir Harry was the British CEO of Hardwick Enterprises who schemed with his daughter, Victoria, to take over LuthorCorp. He sent Victoria to Smallville to rekindled her former romance with Lex Luthor in order to effect this plan.
She enticed Lex into working against his father Lionel Luthor. She played on Lex's hatred of his father to persuade him to go in on the deal. Lex instead proposed a different plan that he and Victoria steal both their fathers' companies which she agreed to.
With his daughter's help, Sir Harry discovered Lex's interest in Cadmus Labs from his laptop and purchased the company to use the profits he would make off of Cadmus' patents to buyout LuthorCorp. However, it was revealed that Lex faked the evidence of his interest in Cadmus Labs which, in reality, were worthless.
This enabled LuthorCorp to buy Hardwick Enterprises since Sir Harry expended his resources by buying Cadmus Labs, taking away his fortune. Lex then announced to a devastated Sir Harry that he and his father would be making an offer on Harry's company in the morning. Sir Harry left with Victoria in shame and defeat and his company soon merged with LuthorCorp.
