Sir Tavish Mortimer is a minor antagonist from The Black Adder. His first and only appearance was in the third episode "The Archbishop".
He was portrayed by an uncredited actor.
Biography[]
Tavish is King Richard IV's hired killer who tracks down and kills the Archbishop of Canterbury. He is said have killed Archbishop Godfrey by headbutting him in the stomach while wearing a Turkish helmet with a long, pointed spike on top, impaling him and killing him instantly. It is also implied that he killed Archbishops Bertram and Wilfred in the same manner. Nevertheless, all of these assassinations are officially labeled "tragic accidents" in which Tavish supposedly rushed toward the Archbishops to greet them with his Turkish helmet on, only to kill them because he "forgot that he was wearing it".

Tavish is described as a tall and striking man with no ears. He also seen wearing a Turkish helmet with a long spike on the top.
