Freddy doesn't know when to give up. He thinks he can save his friends. Get a load of this guy! If I were him, I would just lay down on my back and wait. Wait for what, you say? Do it and you'll find out.
~ Siren Head taunting Freddy before the latter tries to go to the bridge.
Officials have said after a month of searching that the kids can't be found. It was ruled out that one of the friends, Freddy Anderson, lured them out to the forest because he felt like they were holding him back in high school. That's right, Freddy. We all know what you did. We WILL come for you.
~ Siren Head mocking Freddy about the murders of his friends.

Siren Head, written in-game as Sirenhead, is the titular main antagonist of the 2022 indie horror game Sirenhead Southpoint by Isolation Interactive, based on the creature from the Trevor Henderson Mythos.

It is a massive creature that continually stalks the main character Freddy Anderson as he traverses South Point Meadows looking for his friends, who are implied to have been victims of the creature.

Siren Head is far more morally aware here than in the mythos, as it continually taunts and mocks Freddy, trying to get him to quit on his journey.

The Siren Head retains its appearance from the mythos.

While mimicking a radio reporter, it was voiced by Golden Heart. While mimicking Officer Kirkland, it was voiced by Victor Shade. While mimicking Sarah, it was voiced by Snow Harbour.

Biography[]

Holy sh-t… what the F-CK is that?!
~ Freddy Anderson becomes shocked upon first spotting the creature.

Throughout his trip through the woods, Freddy will begin to hear varying noises throughout the woods, ranging from sirens, automated voices from a news broadcast, and screams to animal roars and growls. Due to the fact that there are no animals found anywhere in South Point Meadows in-game, it is very likely that all of the sounds he hears are played by Siren Head. After that, he will see a campsite with no one there and a tent with blood in it. Eventually, Freddy will see the creature and become terrified of him -- this is his first attempt to fight off Siren Head.

Every so often, Siren Head will jump from the shadows and chase Freddy Anderson. It is so fast that escape is nearly impossible, and being caught without a gun will mean certain death for Freddy. If Siren Head is shot by Freddy, it will let out a bellow and retreat momentarily, giving Freddy time to complete his objectives. In-game, it can crawl to reach for Freddy also, meaning that shooting it is his only chance of escaping him.

Later, Freddy will turn the radio tower on, and on his way, he will see one of his friends, (Sarah), lying on the ground dead. When the radio tower is turned on, it is revealed that Siren Head knew about Freddy's past and set him up by tricking him into coming into South Point Meadows. When Freddy goes back to the other tower, he hears a cop on the radio telling him he will take him home. After that, Siren Head taunts Freddy and tells him to sit on his back and wait, but to no avail.

Freddy is lured over to a bridge where the police were supposedly at, only to discover that it was blocked off. Just then, Siren Head emerges from the trees and chases him. Freddy runs off further into the woods, discovering a desecrated village from the 1790s. From notes left behind, he discovers that the village conducted rituals under the Order for the "Monarch of Nithorn". All who tried to flee were cursed into winding back to the village. Frank also discovers that the only way to defeat Siren Head was to destroy its three disembodied hearts.

Suddenly, he is attacked by a Wendigo, revealed to be the sole survivor of the town who offers Frank as a sacrifice for Siren Head. He manages to escape and destroy Siren Head for good by shooting its hearts.

Alternatively, while Freddy walks to the factory, he will see lights from police cars in the distance, believing it to be the cops there to rescue him. But if he approaches, Siren Head will charge at him one more time in a surprise attack, ending the game and killing Freddy, as Siren Head was mimicking the cops.

Endings[]

Ending 1 (you chose to give up..)[]

After finding out that the radio doesn't work, Siren Head sadistically taunts Freddy by saying that he doesn't know when to give up and that he cannot save his friends, and also saying that if he were him he would just lay down and wait.

Listening to Siren Head and laying down will result in him capturing and killing Freddy.

Ending 2 (you were tricked...)[]

When talking with Officer Kirkland through the radio, he will say that Freddy needs to meet him at the end of the bridge, when going through the factory and trying to meet him. There is a crossroad, there are two paths which the player can take, the right path leads to Officer Kirkland (Siren Head) and the left path is where the wendigo runs to. Going down the right path where Siren Head is located will result in him killing you.

Ending 3 (you defeated Siren Head.)[]

When going to the path where The Wendigo resides will lead to Freddy exploring a new area and finding a town were the people get sacrificed to Siren head. When entering the Main Church building, the Wendigo will ambush Freddy and knock him out, Freddy then wakes up inside the Church where the wendigo is offering Freddy as a sacrifice to Siren Head. After some exploring, Siren Head will appear and this will trigger a Boss Battle where Freddy needs to destroy three Hearts located inside of some of the buildings. After destroying all three of the hearts, Siren Head will die and collapse into the floor. Freddy then goes back to his car and drives away.

After this, there is a cutscene of another wendigo watching Freddy as he drives away before slowly walking away.

Personality[]

Siren Head, the monstrous entity from South Point Meadows, displays a chilling and malevolent intelligence. Throughout Freddy's harrowing journey, Siren Head manipulates the environment to induce fear and confusion, demonstrating a cunning and strategic mind. By mimicking a variety of sounds, from sirens and automated voices to screams and animal growls, Siren Head sows terror and disorientation, exploiting Freddy's psychological vulnerabilities.

This creature exhibits a sadistic nature, as seen in its deliberate taunting of Freddy. It uses its ability to mimic voices to deceive and lure Freddy into traps, revealing an enjoyment in tormenting its prey. Siren Head's understanding of Freddy's past and its use of this knowledge to manipulate him further highlight its cruel and calculating personality.

Siren Head's relentless pursuit of Freddy showcases its determination and predatory instinct. It strikes from the shadows with incredible speed, making escape nearly impossible and instilling a sense of inevitability and dread. Even when injured, Siren Head's strategic retreats indicate a tactical mind focused on wearing down its target.

Despite its monstrous appearance, Siren Head displays a high degree of awareness and adaptability. It uses the environment and its abilities to maintain control over the hunt, creating an atmosphere of constant threat and unpredictability. Its actions are not just driven by a desire to kill but by a deep-seated need to instill fear, demonstrating a complex and malevolent personality.

Trivia[]

  • Siren Head is far more morally aware here than in the mythos, as it continually taunts Freddy with an automated voice that speaks about him and his friends; at one point, it even tries to tell Freddy to give up entirely and just lay [sit] down (which, if the player makes Freddy give up, Siren Head will outright kill him).
  • Siren Head can talk here with an automated voice from its head sirens.
  • It is not known how Siren Head was able to mimic the cops who told Freddy to escape him.
    • It is possible that the cops did come to save Freddy, hence the cars being there, but Siren Head killed them and waited at their cars for Freddy.
  • One of the sounds Siren Head makes is from the 2015 YouTube video, "Cthulhu Attacks Chicago", by HollywoodScotty.
