The Sirens are the main antagonist of the episodes "Episode XLV: The Scotsman Saves Jack, Part 1" and "Episode XLVI: The Scotsman Saves Jack, Part 2" of the show Samurai Jack.
They are a group of sea monsters that appears as three beautiful women, who uses their singing voices to lure anyone who are nearby the island to make them give their treasures as wealth.
They are voiced by Jennifer Hale, Janice LaManna, and Tara Strong.
Background[]
For unknown period of time, the Sirens have lured people to their island to make them give their treasures or valuables, so they can keep them as trophies forever. At some point, they encountered Samurai Jack, who came to free those hypnotic slaves, and according to them, Jack have proven troublesome as he was able to resist the Siren's hypnotic singing voice. So, the Sirens decided to change their singing voice to erase Jack's memory and personality, and Jack leaves behind his sword and his kimono before he left the island with a completely different identity as Brent Worthington.
Synopsis[]
While they don’t appear in part 1, their action of brainwashing Jack left him as Brent Worthington for a while until Jack encounters the Scotsman. The Scotsman has been busy trying to get Jack to remember who he is until one of the sailors who recognized him as the samurai and explains the situation. The Scotsman decides to take Jack to the Great Unknown with these sailors' help on a ship in order for Jack to remember.
After sailing to the Great Unknowns, all the passengers on this boat become mesmerized by the Sirens’ music, except for the Scotsman as they all entered the island giving them their treasure. When the Scotsman meet the Sirens, they realize that he is immune because of his genuine dislike for their music. The Scotsman demands to know why Jack was Brent as the Sirens explain how it happens. The Scotsman decides to take them down, so the Sirens command the slaves to deal with him. The Scotsman doesn’t want to harm those slaves, but he realizes that he can break the Sirens’ music by using his bagpipe to sing a loud noise causing the Sirens’ spell to break their control. Furious at the Scotsman’s action, the Sirens’ transform into a three-headed serpent, and wrap the Scotsman with their tail as they plan to devour him. However, Jack, who regains his memory, manages to stop them by cutting off their heads, ending their threat once and for all.
Since Aku’s destruction in the past, it is unknown how it affects the future.
