Sister Splinter is a minor antagonist in Hollow Knight: Silksong. She is the eldest of the Splinter bugs and presumably their leader, who attacks anybody that enters their domain.
She is voiced by Lauren Koopowitz, who also voices the Last Judge and Widow in the same game.
Appearance[]
Sister Splinter is a massive creature resembling a stick insect. Her face is large white eyes and silver hair, with three black claws on each of her hands. In place of legs are tendrils of root-like tentacles.
Biography[]
Either the alpha or longest living member of the Splinters, Sister Splinter ensures nobody survives entering her territory in Shellwood.
Upon entering her room, Sister Splinter blocks off the exit with vines, preventing Hornet from leaving before ambushing her. Sister Splinter attacks by slamming down her claws on the floor, summoning vines, or emitting a roar that summons one or two Splinterbark enemies. Note that the claw attack will destroy the vines or Splinterbarks should they come into contact.
Once defeated, Sister Splinter explodes and her remains will stay there for the rest of the game. A sprout will also start growing from her corpse's head, likely a sign that the woods will soon recover from her tyranny over Shellwood.
Trivia[]
- Sister Splinter's difficulty was reduced in a patch that reduced the damage from the Splinterbarks from two masks to one. She is one of the two bosses affected, the other being Moorwing.
