“ | So... in my youth, I often imagined I had another sibling. A specter... of sorts. A sister. And in my mind, she and I - oh, how we would conspire... great schemes, risk-trades, rapacious plots. And should I ever find myself... back at the trough. Penniless. Betrayed. Rich, only in enemies... She'd be at my side, axe in hand. | „ |
~ Parvos Granum musing about his childhood wish of having a sister. |
The Sisters of Parvos are minor antagonists in the MMO third-person shooter Warframe.
The Sisters are devoted followers of the resurfaced Corpus founder Parvos Granum who rejected the disowned Board of Directors, proved themselves to be worthy of Parvos's attention and were granted the most expensive and advanced technology the Corpus have to offer.
They are the Corpus' answer to the Warframes and each serve as personal opponents to the Tenno.
Biography[]
After Parvos Granum escaped the Granum Void at the end of the Deadlock Protocol quest, he took a good look at what the Corpus had become in his long absence. Feeling that his original vision for the Corpus has been corrupted beyond salvation, Parvos decided it was time to build a new doctrine to support his ambitions. Having obtained safe and consistent access to the Granum Void, he repurposed his old prison into his new base of operations. Saving one of his new followers, Captain Vala Glarios, whose quest for vengeance left her stranded in the Granum Void, Parvos sensed potential in her and made her his second-in-command. Together, they set out to create a new Board out of ambitious and talented Corpus women, based on Parvos's childhood wish of having a sister.
Promotion[]
A Tenno occasionally ventures willingly into the Granum Void to find remnants of technology that were scattered within when Parvos's ship exploded. This quickly catches the attention of Parvos's followers, a Sister Candidate will attempt to prove herself by getting a Tenno to near-fatally wound her, allowing her to use Specter particles to copy some of their power based on the Warframe's elemental affinity for herself. Candidates that are ignored by the Tenno get dismissed as unworthy of joining their ranks, while those that are successful are welcomed into the sisterhood and promoted with rank and the strongest technology available to the Corpus.
From that point on the Sister introduces herself to the Tenno that unwittingly aided her in her promotion and, with his blessing at her side, claims territory in the Origin System in the name of Parvos Granum, stealing nearly all money the Tenno would gain from missions in her territory. As the Sister and Tenno fight each other, the Sister only becomes more and more powerful.
Defeating a Sister[]
Defeating a Sister permanently requires a Tenno to venture into her territory and destroy the hound proxies, advanced canine robots that serve as the personal bodyguards of the Sisters of Parvos. Imbued with some of the Sister's power, destroying these hounds allows the Tenno to piece together the Sister's "Requiem Sequence", an energy frequency of sorts with which the Sister can cheat death.
Once the correct sequence is assembled and used on a Sister, she will be weakened and forced to retreat onto a Corpus flagship. The Tenno can now hunt her down and has the opportunity to either kill her for good or spare her and recruit her to aid the Tenno instead.
Converted Sisters will occasionally arrive on the battle field to temporarily aid the Tenno in their missions until they get bored or wounded and can even be assigned to serve as crewmembers in the Tenno's Railjack ship.

Trivia[]
- The Sisters of Parvos, just like their Grineer counterparts the Kuva Liches, were heavily inspired by the Nemesis System from Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor.
