Skabb is a major antagonist of the 2007 action videogame The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night. He is the figurehead captain of the Skavengers who kidnaps various species to participate in their arena for cruel entertainment. Due to his lack of intelligence, he is instead commanded by his two parrots, Scratch and Sniff.
Despite occasionally speaking in grunts, his voice actor is unknown.
Biography[]
After defeating Arborick, Spyro is ambushed by Skabb and used as a replacement for vanquishing their potential contestant. The young dragon is then carried aboard the flying ship, where he comes across Mole-Yair, a letter from Hunter, and even Cynder whom were all kidnapped by Skabb's forces. Cynder is then kidnapped by the ape army after a surprise attack upon the arena.
During the chaos, Spyro fights his way throughout the Fellmuth Ship and helps Mole-Yair escape in the process. Eventually, he and Sparx reach the captain's quarters where Spyro briefly gazes upon the map to locate The Chronicler, only to be confronted by Skabb. They engage in battle before he escapes, to where Spyro tracks him down while evading a barrage of flying ships. Upon reaching Skabb, Spyro battles him once more, causing Skabb to fall off the platform into his apparent demise. Sparx then knocks Sniff out cold, forcing Scratch (the true mastermind of the group) to fly away into parts unknown, never to be seen again.
Appearance[]
Skabb is among the biggest and burliest of his Skavenger minion. His appearance comprises of a large battle scar, a hanging tongue, a golden hook, a small cannon which replaces one of his legs, and a treasure chest strapped to his back also containing a cannon. A brutish captain who is merely used as the brawn for his parrots to enforce their wicked deeds. Scratch sits upon his left shoulder in typical fashion while Sniff sits aboard the treasure chest, occasionally firing the cannon.
He also carries a large sword containing dark energy, which was notably unleashed during his second battle encounter.
Trivia[]
- Unlike the other console versions, Skabb speaks fluently in the GBA version.
