Skarn is the main antagonist and the final boss in the video game Diablo Immortal. A powerful demon, he seeks to collect a shard of the shattered Worldstone as a means to destroy the world.

He was voiced by Steve Blum.

Biography

Originally a mere Overseer demon during the Eternal Conflict, Skarn's ambition saw him rise through the ranks to become Diablo's most powerful lieutenant. When the Prime Evils were killed (and their souls banished from Hell) in the beginning of the Dark Exile, Skarn siphoned power from his master's skull to craft the Realm of Damnation. He ruled over the realm, and he tortured angels and demons alike in his Citadel of the Damned.

At the beginning of his rule, a cadre of angels invaded the Realm of Damnation to halt its formation. They were eventually subdued, and Skarn had their Light slowly (and painfully) extracted. The extracted Light was used to create legions of demons.

Skarn kept a relatively low profile through the eons that little is recorded about him in human literature.

Following Baal's death and the destruction of the Worldstone (which Baal corrupted), Skarn took the opportunity to fill the power vacuum, beginning his quest to obtain a shard of the Worldstone. With one shard, he could remove the angelic side of humanity and leave only their demonic half. He significantly increased his army from summoning demons to aid him, eventually leading a quest to collect the fragments of the corrupted Worldstone, so that he could use them to resurrect Diablo, reignite the Eternal Conflict, and destroy Sanctuary.

A group of heroes located the shards. They retrieved them from different parts of Khanduras, preventing Skarn from obtaining them. The heroes eventually confronted Skarn in the Realm of Damnation, where they defeated him.
