SkekLi is a minor antagonist in The Dark Crystal franchise. He is the Skeksis Satirist and his Mystic counterpart is UrLii the Storyteller.
Biography[]
Song of the Dark Crystal[]
SkekLi has used his spiders to capture the Grottan for a while. When Naia and Amri are finding the right path, he captures the former. Kylan and Tavra find the two and reach his cavern, fool him into believing that Krychk has possessed Kylan. He leads them into the Sanctuary where the spiders web up the Grottan and Naia. While SkekLi is gloating over his triumph, Kylan frees them, and the three cut down the bridges, trapping SkekLi.
However, SkekLi soon escapes and catches Naia just before she can play the bone. Naia throws it to Kylan, but SkekLi threatens to kill her if he play it. Thankfully, UrLii and UrVa arrive in time and subdue SkekLi, rescuing Naia. Kylan plays the bone, which drives away the spiders, rescuing the Grottan. SkekLi is then taken prisoner by Maudra Argot, with UrVa promising to help her watching over him. Before being taken away however, SkekLi warns them that SkekUng is creating an army to destroy the Gelfling.
At some point, SkekLi escapes imprisonment.
The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance[]
SkekLi is mentioned by SkekZok on the idea of bringing the other Skeksis who are absent for help in battling against the Gelfling. SkekLi later dies at some unknown point.
