The Skinfreak, real name Steve, is the main antagonist of the 2025 Puppet Combo Retro-Horror game Skinfreak, made by Jordan King.
A friendly and goofy security guard and friend of Belle Buchanan, he is revealed to be a sadistic and sexually depraved serial killer who is infamous to slicing his victims skins off to wear as a skin-suit, and hunts her throughout her office.
He is voiced by Jay Ugokwe.
Personality[]
Steve appears to be a friendly, laid-back and goofy coworker of Belle who seems to care about her deeply, keeping a cheerful attitude while also indulging in gossip with her. However, behind this persona is a sexually sadistic serial killer with an obsession of people’s skins.
The Skinfreak shows extreme sadism in his actions, brutally torturing the victim as long as possible and skinning them alive while sexually moaning as he kills them, using their skin as his own. He enjoys to also put them in traps he sets up just for his own amusement. The Skinfreak’s urges to murder supersede his own logic, deciding to give up running away just to try and kill Belle due to his obsession with her beauty.
Biography[]
Steve was Belle’s coworker at the video game office who worked security, but moonlighted as the sadistic serial murderer known as the Skinfreak. He’d get this moniker by torturing his victims brutally before slicing up their skin while they’re still alive, using it as a suit as he leaves his victims to bleed out for their wounds. In the prologue, Steve targets taxi driver Maximilian, stalking him to his garage before ambushing and brutally killing him.
Planning to escape town to let the heat die down, Steve changed his mind when Belle, getting orders from her boss, comes to work late to finish some errands, making Steve obsessed over his skin and deciding to kill her right there and then and use her skin. He processed to hide the radio talking about him as he claims their fellow coworker, Harold, was identified as the Skinfreak to throw her off her track.
Throughout the night, Steve kills several people, including Belle’s abusive father who was stalking her as well, a delivery worker, and later kidnaps Gloria and hangs her on a meat hook to try and drop her into sulfuric acid, before she is aged by Belle. If Gloria doesn’t shoot Harold when confronting him, The Skinfreak will go and decapitae Harold before chasing Belle, slicing her arm off as he hunts her into construction area.
There, when Belle is cornered, Steve reveals himself to her and attempts to convince her to let him have her skin, approaching her slowly as he backs up, and tells her about how he can make all her problems go away. However, Belle proceeds to press a button and drop several rebars into him before sending a piece of conrsution slamming into him. Steve attempts to hold on, but Belle stabs him in the eye, leaving Steve to plummet to his death, ending the Skinfreak once and for all.
