Skull Doggler is a minor antagonist of Hikari Sentai Maskman, serving as the main antagonist of the Episode 5. He was a combination with a spider/caterpillar-like Earth Imperial Beast Doggler at the service of the Underground Empire Tube and under the command of Prince Igam.
He was voiced by Yoshio Kawai.
Biography[]
Skull Doggler was created by the Tube Empire and later he was tasked by his masters with a new plan of the surface world domination. He possessed an ability to use his skull animal-like parasite Skull (スカル Sukaru) to latch onto people and switch their heads to cause confusion. After being created, he was sent by Prince Igam to attack and destroy Tokyo. Skull Doggler attacked the city and encountered the Maskmen. In the first battle with the monster, Akira initially fought the beast on his own, while also having to deal with Fumin. The battle ended on the cause of the villains and Skull Doggler easily defeated the multi-colored heroes. After finishing his mission, the villain retreated.
The Maskmen were forced to regroup and were thinking about the plan of dealing with the monster. After having learned of the monster's ability to control his parasite over long distances, the Rangers discovered that Akira had jumped on the Skull half and was riding it over Tokyo, trying to defeat the Tube minion. The Rangers finally came up with a plan of stopping the monster and Akira began the mission. While Blue Mask was keeping the creature occupied, the Rangers were able to find and destroy the Doggler. Akira blinded the Doggler with his strike attacks in order to break his control. Igam watched the battle and was furious that his plan failed. The evil prince fully recombined the monster and Skull Doggler fought the Rangers's mechas. Skull Doggler was eventually blasted by the Shot Bomber and was permanently destroyed by Great Five.
