Slade Barrick, also known as Razor, is the secondary antagonist of the 2025 first-person shooter Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and a playable character in the game's other modes and Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0.

A private security contractor turned JSOC operative, Razor originally appears as the commander of Specter Two before it's revealed that he's a mole for The Guild. While he attempted to help Emma Kagan in her scheme to gain a profit, Barrick was killed by Mike Harper for his betrayal.

He is voiced and motion-captured by Joshua Dov.

Biography[]

Background[]

Nothing is known of Slade Barrick's past, but he was presumably born in the United States. He became a private security contractor before eventually joining the military and JSOC. By the 2030s, he became the team leader of Specter Two and did several operations alongside David "Section" Mason's Specter One team. He also started going under the codename "Razor". Sometime before 2035, Razor began conspiring with Emma Kagan and became a mole within the JSOC for The Guild.

Black Ops 7[]

Ten years after Raul Menendez's death, a video surfaces online of his seeming return and intent to continue his plans over three days. Receiving intel from their Avalon insider, JSOC sends Specter One to investigate the Guild's psychological operations and ties to the Menendez video. During Specter One's operations in Avalon, Razor provides Kagan and the Guild with information, such as JSOC sending the team to access the Guild's server farm. Kagan in turn sends Priya Zaveri to eliminate Specter One and possibly erase the servers since she has a access card on her. Ultimately, Zaveri is killed by the JSOC unit, who take the card off her corpse and access the server farm.

Later on, JSOC sends Razor and Specter Two to interrogate Guild executive Toru Fukasawa, as they need his help to access the Forge and gain a decryption key to fully analyze the drive. Unfortunately, they find Fukasawa dead on his yacht and are ambushed by Guild reinforcements. Out of options, the team launch the yacht toward the mainland and infiltrate the Forge facility. Inside the Forge, Razor retrieves the decryption key and the team extract on the roof. After the operation, Barrick gives JSOC the key but secretly deletes most of the data before warning Mason of a mole.

Afterward, Barrick goes rogue by leaving Japan and turning off his comms, thus revealing to JSOC that he is the Guild's mole. During Specter One's final mission to confront Kagan, Razor travels to Avalon via drone and fights the JSOC team. Critically wounded in a gunfight, Razor tells Section that they can't win against the Guild before being shot in the head by Mike Harper. Due to his failure to kill Specter One, the team succeeded in apprehending Kagan and destroying the Cradle's production at the Blackheart.

Razor's betrayal is similar to that of Javier Salazar from Call of Duty: Black Ops II.
- His death is also a nod to Salazar's, as both are killed by Harper with a gunshot to the head.
