History[]
Backstory[]
At some point, Slade became employed black ops agent by the military organization Task Force X, working closely with the organization's leaders, the General and Amanda Waller.
Season 1[]
"Adventures of a Normal Man"[]
After Leslie Willis and her gang robbed Mt. Simonson Base, a government warehouse for experimental technology, Slade began sending various agents to capture her. Leslie manages to defeat two of Slade's agents and steals their earpiece to communicate with their superior, demanding that they meet in person at the City Bistro to talk, or else their tech will disappear. Slade agrees to the summons, and meets with Leslie, who speculates that he is with the marines or black ops. Slade replies that he knows who Leslie is, which she brushes over.
Leslie offers to cut a deal with Slade, wanting to be left alone in exchange for returning his technology. Slade laughs this proposition off, pointing out that she has no idea what kind of technology she is dealing with. Leslie then reveals that she has planted explosives across the city and is prepared to set them off, making Slade reconsider. However, before their deal can go any further, they are interrupted by Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen appearing from a nearby sewer grate—having been pursuing Leslie and discovered her explosives. Believing that she is being set up, Leslie kicks Slade aside and prepares to activate her detonator.
Slade knocks it out of her hands and engages Leslie, who reveals herself to be wearing a suit granting her electrokinetic powers. Slade and Leslie continue to fight, which is interrupted by Superman, whom Leslie begins to attack for ruining her operation. While she is distracted, Slade strikes the battery powering her suit, causing it to begin overloading and go out of control, mutating Leslie in the process. Superman manages to stop Leslie and remove her suit, although she mysteriously disappears afterwards. Some time later, Slade is revealed to have captured Leslie and brought her to an interrogation room.
He announces that her plan has failed; Leslie replying that the explosives were a distraction while her technology was carted off by every low-level criminal in Metropolis. Slade is unconcerned by this and begins asking Leslie what she knows about Nemesis Omega, Zero Day and Task Force X, torturing her with a shock collar. When he asks about the "flying man", a terrified Leslie replies that she thought he was with them, and asks who her captors are. Slade, joined by Amanda Waller and the General, replies that they are the good guys, and asks her what she knows about Superman.
"My Interview with Superman"[]
Later, in the aftermath of Superman's battle with Intergang, Slade appears in the Metropolitan National Bank posing as a paramedic. Once Superman directs the paramedics and leaves, Slade is seen looking at Silver Banshee, Mist and Rough House's unconscious bodies, and subsequently captures them.
"You Will Believe a Man Can Lie"[]
Following this, Slade begins wearing a high-tech suit of armor granting him similar abilities to Superman; using his new abilities to kidnap every criminal in possession of Livewire's stolen technology, including Heat Wave's gang. Superman and Lois Lane learn about the kidnappings from Heat Wave, who mistakes Superman for the culprit and flees.
Slade observes Heat Wave's escape from afar, and asks his superiors what action to take; the General tells him that Superman can wait, and to reclaim their tech. He pursues Heat Wave into a construction zone, where Superman also appears, and gets into a fight with Heat Wave. As the two fight, Slade watches and asks for permission to engage his final target and "Nemesis Omega". Waller and the General appear through holograms and agree that Slade's suit is operating at maximum efficiency from the reclaimed technology. Knowing there will never be a better time to take Superman down, the General permits Slade to engage, and grants him additional backup.
Slade freezes Heat Wave using technology replicated from Intergang's freeze ray, and engages Superman with a pair of OMAC robots. Superman fights against Slade and the OMACs, realizing that he, Waller and the General are responsible for both the technology and the kidnappings. During the fight, Superman is knocked towards a nearby highway, where Slade slices the support pillars. Superman punches Slade away and begins holding the highway up in order to save the people above. With Superman detained, Slade forms his swords into a rifle and is ordered by Waller to shoot him down. However, the General calls them off to prevent the civilians from being harmed, allowing Slade to escape.
"Zero Day"[]
Slade battles Superman once again when the latter is tricked into trying to free Task Force X's captives by Mist, joining forces with Livewire, Intergang, Parasite and Heat Wave to ambush him. Slade and the other villains gradually overwhelm Superman, who briefly manages to recover himself enough to overpower his attackers, only to be brought down by Parasite. With the other villains, Slade captures Superman and flees upon Task Force X's plane. Slade returns to Task Force X's base, where he is later called into action by the General when Livewire orchestrates a breakout using her newly developed electrokinetic powers—secretly orchestrated by Waller in a ploy to discredit the General.
Slade joins the General and Task Force X's soldiers in facing off with the villains, targeting Livewire. Livewire uses her new abilities to lure Slade into getting his shock sticks stuck in the wall, leaving him vulnerable. Slade is brutally electrocuted by Livewire in revenge for their previous interaction, and left unconscious while she and the other villains make their escape. In the aftermath, Slade is seen by Waller's side, now wearing an eyepatch over his right eye. He witnesses as Waller informs the General that he has been removed from his command and hands him Dr. Ivo's Omega Cannon, for use in his new mission—tracking down and terminating Superman.
Season 2[]
"More Things in Heaven And Earth"[]
Slade and new operative Damage would attack the ship Clark came in, where a digital copy of his father Jor-El, explained the events surrounding his arrival and the events of Zero Day. While failling in capturing Superman, Slade did get a sample of kryptonite.
"Two Lanes Diverged"[]

Trivia[]
- This is the fourth incarnation of Slade Wilson who does not use the alias Deathstroke, following Slade in Teen Titans (and his Teen Titans Go! counterpart) and Slade Wilson in Smallville. Coincidentally, the latter also appeared in a Superman television series.
- Despite this, Slade's armor greatly resembles his comic counterpart's Deathstroke costume, implying that he might use the alias sometime in the future.
- He is the youngest incarnation of Slade Wilson to date, as most versions are portrayed as being at least middle-aged.
- Slade's hair is usually seen covering his right eye, both referencing his comic counterpart's use of an eyepatch, and foreshadowing his eventual need for one himself.
