The Slashers are the main antagonists of the 2019 slasher film Haunt.
Like the name implies, they are a mysterious group of psychotic slashers who have tattoed and deformed their own faces to personify an specific monster. Each Halloween, they dress up as generic monsters that represent their deformities and lure people to their headquarters, a self-made haunted house with the intentions of killing them one by one.
Biography[]
Everything about them is a complete enigma. According to Vampire, one of them is a tattoer, although he never specified which one is. It is only known that they are a group of murderers who have taken enjoyment in killing youngsters. To fulfill this goal, they use an abandoned warehouse at the outskirts of Carbondale, Illinois, and use it as a self-made haunted house attraction. They advertise it as an "extreme" experience with hopes of luring unsuspecting thrill-seekers to come in. Before entering the attraction, they must sign a form in which they would put their addresses and leave their phones to Clown. Once inside, they are entertained with several shows and puzzles that become more dangerous as they dwelve deeper into the attraction. They are inevitably killed upon finishing the haunted house, or captured to be used as part of the show. According to Witch, they have been doing this several times in the past. This would change after luring the troubled woman Harper and her friends to their death trap, which would become the end of their sadistic show.
Haunt[]
Harper is a psychologically tormented woman that has to deal with a troubled past with her abusive father and a present with an alcoholic boyfriend named Sam. She is invited by her roommate Bailey to a Halloween party with their friends Angela and Mallory. They befriend two guys named Nathan and Evan. Harper has to deal with Sam who starts messaging her about his costume for that night, which seemed to look as a demon-themed disguise. Evan invites the group to an "extreme" haunted house at the outskirts of the town since he believed it would be a thrilling experience.
Once there, they are welcomed by Clown, who makes them hand over their phones and sign liability waivers. They enter the house and are entertained by several attractions and a show starring Witch killing an unknown woman with what seemed to be a hot fire poker. Of course, everyone believed it was a fake and continue with the course. They are separated by a maze and forced to go in different ways. Bailey, Nathan and Angela find the classic attraction of the arm holes and guessing the body parts. The first two holes are harmless props, but the third ones was filled with razors that cut through her arm. Harper, Evan and Mallory are forced to go through a series of wood tunnels that contain a trap door that activates when too many people are inside. Mallory falls through this trap door and is captured by Witch. Harper and Evan are surprised by Devil and forced to slide in a tube that led them to a cemetery with the chainsaw-wielding Zombie, but he doesn't hurt them. The group reunite together in a room and are forced to watch the same Witch show as before but with Mallory, who gets her head impaled with the fire poker.
Releasing they are in a dangerous situation, they try to create an escape plan. Nathan volunteers to continue with the course while the other find a way to escape the room. Nathan enters Ghost's room and asks him for help. Surprisingly, Ghost drops off the acting and offers them help. Despite his intentions and telling them that Mallory was safe, the group is not comfortable with him as he isn't willing to take off his costume and tell his real name (only using the moniker Mitch). He advises them to continue with the course as they were almost at the end of the haunted house, but they refuse to do it and demand to be taken outside. They are warned of the trap door and enter to the tunnels again. Evan is the first one to go, followed by Ghost. However, he blocks the entrance on other side, preventing the other ones from escaping. They are then pursued by Devil, who is wielding a pitchfork. Nathan and Bailey successfully leave to the tunnels but Angela is dragged and killed. Bailey accidentally activates the trap door and Nathan falls out into the house operating rooms. Harper manages to escape from Devil until she is cornered in the Witch's room. Helpless, she begs Devil for mercy and mistakes him as Sam. Devil takes off his mask, exposing a tatooed, demonic face with horns, and asks who Sam was. He then threatens Sam with taking off her face and make a mask out of it, until she is saved by Nathan (who was at the other side of the room) who shoots Devil with a nail gun. Meanwhile, Evan manages to escape the house but he is left alone with Ghost. Ghost mocks him with taking off his mask as he was demanding it before. The scene is cut out and the last thing we see is an unmasked Ghost exposing his ghoulish, cadaveric visage killing Evan with a hammer and ripping off his face with it. Nathan continues to explore the headquarters and finds out that Clown has destroyed the blocked phones and used the unblocked ones to gain personal information of the victims. Nathan tries to use Harper's phone, but he is surprised by Ghost. He is attacked by him and escapes, but not before sending his current location to Sam.
Harper is forced to continue with the course and ends up in the Vampire room, full of sharp tools. She only has a few seconds before Vampire cuts out a rope that held the entrance door, leaving her in the dark with the killer. She is stopped by a glue trap that ripped off his skin, but she still manages to escape and continues with the last challenge of the house. The challenge contained a puzzle room full of dolls, the player must follow a series of instructions written in the walls backwards. She manages to complete it but she is then surprised by Devil. She has visions of her past with her abusive father, and stabs Devil in the eye with the key to open up the entrance, but the door was a trap that contained a fixed shotgun in the other side, severely wounding her. She is almost killed by Devil but she manages to use the shotgun at her advantage and kills him. Ghost sends up a member that used a monster mask to go after Harper, but she defends herself and kills him with Devil's pitchfork. She unmasks this mysterious person and results that it was Bailey, who was tied up and gagged.
Sam finally arrives the place, but falls into a booby trap which sends a screw directly to his neck before he is killed by Clown with a mallet. Harper is trapped into a dead end and realizes Zombie is coming with his chainsaw. Nathan tries to break up the wall with the mallet, but he is attacked again by Ghost. Harper tries to defend himself from Zombie and severely hurts him with the shotgun. She then helps Nathan and kills Ghost. They try to escape through a hatch but are ambushed by Witch. She tells Harper that she was not the first one to complete the course, meaning they have done this before, but gets killed by Nathan with the hatch before she has the chance to harm Harper. They are again ambushed but this time by Vampire. He surrenders and tells them he was just a pawn to them, only sending them stuff and that didn't know they were actually killing people. He offers them help but gets killed by Zombie, this time unmasked and wielding a gun.
Realizing everyone died and his plans were foiled, Clown escapes and turns the place on fire. Zombie tries to prevent them from escaping but gets killed by Nathan with a bat. They survive and go to the hospital. Harper knew Clown had her address for the forms they were forced to sign at the beginning and makes a trap for him. Clown gets caught in the same glue trap she was subdued before and gets shot to the head with a shotgun.

The Clown, also known as Clown Mask, is the supposed leader of the group. He has pale white skin and his face is carved with several burns and scars resembling clown makeup. He is in charge of welcoming upcoming victims to the attraction, meaning he is the one responsible for collecting the phones and make them to sign the forms. His weapon of choice is a sledgehammer. Clown is the only member of the group to survive, and tries to avenge his partners by invading Harper's home. However, he was caught into a trap and killed by her with a shotgun.
He was portrayed by Justin Marxen.
Devil[]

The Devil, also known as Devil Mask, is one of the most active members of the group. His head is covered up with horns and his face is tattoed with a sinister grin full of pointy teeth. He also has an unusually deep voice. He is in charge of leading the guests to the cemetery section. His weapon of choice is a pitchfork. Apparently, he tends to cut out the faces of his victims and create masks out of them He is the first member to die, being killed off with a shotgun.
He was portrayed by Damian Maffei.
Ghost[]

The Ghost, also known as Ghost Mask and Mitch, is the member with most screen time. He has a completely pale and almost bald head with cadaveric face features, forming a ghoulish visage. He appears in a room full of sheets where he blends with the environment and tricks his victims. He drops the act when told a guest is injured and pretends to help them. It is unknown if this is part of the act or they did it just for this occassion. His weapon of choice is a hammer. He tends to use the hammer claw to rip off the face of his victims by shoving it through their mouths and going all the way upwards. He was the second member to be presumably killed, being taken down with Clown's sledgehammer.
He was portrayed by Chaney Morrow.
Witch[]
Witch, also known as Witch Mask, is the premiere Slasher in the attraction. She runs a show in which she would kill an unknown person while the viewers are separated with a glass wall. If the guests fall into the tunnel's trapdoor, they would be captured by Witch and killed as part of the same show. She is the only female member of the group, and apparently also the oldest. Her face has been so withered by age that she looks like a decaying hag. She also seems to have a Glasgow smile. She uses a fire poker which gets turned red hot with a cauldron, almost resembling a magic wand. She is the third member to die, being killed off with head bludgeoning.
She was portrayed by Terri Partyka, but voiced by Lynnanne Zager.
Zombie[]
Zombie, also known as Zombie Mask, is one of the members with least participation on the show, but also one of the most resilient (if not the most). His face is covered with expansions and it's so burned and deformed that can only be described as a rotten zombie. He appears in the cemetery section and scares the upcoming guests with a real chainsaw, which is also his weapon of choice. He also uses a gun when the situation requires. He is the antepenultimate member to die, suffering several abuses through the course which include being shot with a shotgun, having his hand severed with a machete and finally beaten up to death with a bat.
He was portrayed by Schuyler White.
Vampire[]
Vampire, also known as Vampire Mask is a minor member of the group. Apparently he wasn't a completely made member and only worked as a errands guy, buying stuff for them. This was also his first hunting with the group, as he was tricked into believing they weren't killing anybody. He is the only member without deformities, as he needed to kill someone to "earn his face". Inside the show, he runs a completely dark room full of traps and sharp objects, where he is suppossed to lock unsuspecting victims with him and kill them. His weapon of choice is a machete. He is the fourth member to die and was killed by Zombie upon his betrayal with a headshot.
