Sleuth "Doggy" Dawg was originally a loyal military officer to Sally Acorn only to be swayed to Dr. Ivo Robotnik's side promises of wealth and personal power. His attempted coup against Princess Sally Acorn was unsuccessful, and he was incarcerated. Upon his escape, he teamed up with several other prisoners to take his revenge, but they were roboticized by Dr. Eggman. After their de-roboticization, Sleuth went on to found the Destructix, a team of mercenaries serving multiple masters if the price was right.
Biography[]
Freedom Fighter[]
Sleuth provided information to Princess Sally on Dr. Robotnik. The group would code their messages and spray paint it into walls to make it resemble simple vandalism. Sleuth helped Sonic when the Knothole Freedom Fighters were captured by Combots. Sleuth and his men then disguised themselves as SWATbots and department.
Later on, Sleuth became corrupted and started working with Dr. Robotnik with promises of wealth and power. Sleuth purposely slowed down the Freedom Fighter's operation to locate the Crown of Acorns to save the Sally's father, King Max. Soon Sleuth reveals himself to be in league with the Eggman Empire. With an army of SWATbots to support him, Sleuth attacked the Knothole FF's along with the roboticized Fly Fly Freddy. However, the combined might of the Freedom Fighters and Knuckles proved too much, and the SWATbots were destroyed and Sleuth was arrested. For his betrayal, Sleuth was sent to prison. Sleuth found himself mocking Snively along with the other inmates, until Snively seemingly unlocked their cells and allowed them to escape. From there, Sleuth participated in the inmates beating up the guards and escaping. The convicts then fled to capture Nate Morgan. After they captured Nate and brought him back to West Robotropolis, Sonic and the Royal Secret Service rescued the Overlander and re-captured the convicts (except for Kodos and Arachnis).
Member of the Destructix[]
Sleuth captured Tommy Turtle to trade him for one of Robotnik's old facilities. However the meeting was actually a trap set up to roboticize them. Eggman proceeded to roboticize all of the Destructix with the exception of Sleuth, who hid behind Tommy's shell. Sleuth sacrificed Sonic the Hedgehog to prevent himself from being roboticized. However, when Sonic escaped with Tommy, Eggman roboticized him, but not before Sleuth managed to throw a grenade, destroying the entire facility along with Eggman and Snively's robotic bodies. Sleuth and the others' robotic bodies survived the explosion, and the group was de-roboticized along with the other Mobians. During a terrorist attack, Sleuth and the Destructix helped the rest of the Mobius population to protect themselves. Later, after the atttack, Sleuth and his team were asked by Anonymous to retrieve the Chaos Emerald Mammoth Mogul was imprisoned in. After their failure, Sleuth and the Destructix were imprisoned, only to be freed by Mogul after he escaped his Chaos Emerald. Sleuth and the others participated in the attack on the Freedom Fighters and the Chaotix, only to be captured by the Egg Fleet and sent to the Egg Grape Chambers. Dr. Finitevus rescued Sleuth and the team so he can hire them to work as his muscle. Sleuth headed to Knothole to retrieve a warp ring that Rouge stole. Taking Tails hostage, Sleuth managed to convince Fiona to get Sonic to simply hand over the Warp Ring, as she did not want Sleuth to reveal Fiona's on-the-side relationship with Scourge. Sleuth left via Warp Ring and returned to the group. Later, Finitevus tasked Sleuth with capturing Knuckles so he can become Enerjak. Afterwards, the group was sent to guard a weapon to destroy Enerjak so Sonic, Locke, and Julie-Su wouldn't have it. When Sonic destroyed the weapon himself, Sleuth said their work was done, and the Destructix left with the Warp Ring.
After Mammoth Mogul's escape from prison, the once-again Chaos-demigod crime lord hired Sleuth and the Destructix as his mercenaries in a plot to discredit Sonic's credibility. After Sonic was captured and taken back to Mogul's Casino Night Zone, Sleuth claimed that they acted on their own to kidnap Sonic and that Mogul was unaware of it. This was to discredit Sonic. Sleuth later on went to retire from life as mercenary due to finally making enough money.
Appearance[]
Doggy is a bloodhound with brown fur, blue eyes, pistol, grenades and fighting abilities. In his days as a Freedom Fighter, Sleuth wore a SWATbot Suit to spy on Dr. Robotik. Afterwards, Sleuth started wearing prison/combat fatigues and boots.
Personality[]
Sleuth was able to hold out against Robotnik's Roboticization longer than the rest of the team. When it became clear that he was beaten, he attempted to blow them and himself up with a hand grenade choosing to rather die than be used against his will. Similar to Drago, a member of the Destructix, Sleuth is willing to betray anyone so long as there's something in it for him, and he can also be simply intimidated by his employers.
